These are the words that @surpassinggoogle, our boy Terry, said when he is thinking what to use as a tag for today's show. He then tells us that he wishes to help @mermaidvampire gain more friends because she is an awesome person. I have to agree that she is.

I arrived almost 12:00 AM because I went out and had drinks with friends and so I was exposed to a lot of smoke and alcohol so my voice was feeling extra sexy!! hahhhaha

Terry came and started the show even if he said he was feeling a bit weak but he knows people look forward to this weekly show for a dose of inspiration and motivation. We really need it now as I feel weak and sometimes dejected, broken even.

So hearing Terry talk about his vision and dreams for steemgiggers, for dreambuilders, for teardrops and all the uloggers fill me with positivity to face things again for another week.

Power of a Steemit post part 2

Today's talk was a continuation of last week's topic of the Power of a Steemit Post. I've written at least one post a day for the 229 days that I have been here. I have some days that I am able to write 2-3 posts and not all of my posts are of the highest quality and I would even say that I am average at best.

I won't be winning any Pulitzer Prize awards but some of the posts that I have written have inspired people, made them think or even at times made them sad. I have created an emotional connection to some people and some of the posts that I have read has left a mark in my heart.

Let us take this post Tonight I Gave the Love of My Life Permission To Die by one of my favorite people here in Steemit, @lynncoyle1

She wrote such a beautiful piece that tugged at your heartstrings and make you cry. Each paragraph tightening a hold in your heart, making it feel like it is bursting as you follow what was happening to Lynn and Brian.

It is not written by a professional blogger, it is something personal and yet it was so beautiful. You would have been dead inside if it didn't move you.

That is a power of a Steemit post.

Ulogs is just removing the barriers for everyone

Terry needed to think hard, hard enough to hit head against the wall and pray that the head was harder!

Ulogs were born to break the barriers of people not being able to create content. Ulogs are meant to be a summary of your journey in life. Your ulog a template for you to put your goals, your dreams and see the growth that happens. Each day should be a dream building journey in Ulogs

Even if does not get voted it is your journey. It is your evolution and you never know how that ulog might change the day of another person. Show him that he is not alone or that you inspire him and give him hope.

I was already doing this, creating milestones and celebrations. Making plans and goals of what I wanted to achieve.

Four months ago I wrote 1000 SP Goal! Steeming on!

I will not be taking any shortcuts. I will create good content blogs, comment and curate as much as I can and build wonderful relationships with people. It is not going to be easy but is going to be worth it!

The road to 1000 SP beckons and join me in my journey through all my accomplishments and failures, my joys and heartaches when I feel down send me an encouraging word and I will do the same to you when you need it. Laugh with me as I celebrate life and look to the future with hope.

I was at 162 SP at that time and I am now at 705 SP so I grew 543 SP in 4 months or about 135 SP a month. This is through a combination of content creation, curation, powering up most of my earnings and of course contests. My goal is to reach dolphin SP level even if I am already a whale inside.

There is beauty in sincerity

A few days ago I wrote a post about ulogs under What Is, In Your Opinion, A Worthy Post On Steemit? A Post That "Deserves" Its Payout... | Are Ulogs worth it?

My point on that post was.

So you can see your post can be worth more than the pay-out reward that it generates in Steemit. It could have earned cents but moved someone to action. It could have inspired someone to become better. It could have saved someone's life.

I received a lot of great comments there where others agreed and some had mixed feelings to it. Which is fine because we are all different people. Terry even gave a comment that he eventually turned into a separate post ULOG: See How Many Various Paradigms Can Be Coded In Simple-Looking Steemit Post, To Understand How Much Goes Into A Steem-Based Project.

I wanted to highlight a comment done by @nathen007 who regularly comments on my posts.

The value in a post is in its desire and effort. Nothing to do with 'quality'. Steemit gives a chance for whom a few cents is the difference between eating or not, buying a bit of medicine or suffering in pain.
A lot of the ulog posts have very little to interest an audience, but that's not the point. As long as they are honest they have value. Even if its only to the person that created them.
Anything that shows life truthfully and has the potential to be seen by millions can go towards helping us all understand how each other live, hopefully creating harmony through respect.

Ulogs, are supposed to be fresh. To celebrate you and be honest about what is going on your life. It is meant to be a reflection of your awesome self, one that you are continually building in Steemit.

We should treat Steemit like Life. Respecting people, helping them get better, instead of kicking people down and feeling smug and having a superiority complex.

Which brings me to the last part

Trolls and Flags

Apparently, there are still some trolls abound and some uloggers were experiencing some flags and mean comments. There are just some hateful people out there who waste their time and energy in trying to make people feel bad, feel useless and not to be deserving to be on this platform.

There are certain people that I feel are deserving of steel chairs to the face but I just don't bother. I focus on the good that I see in the platform and the good that I can do here. I have no time, energy nor patience to deal with negative people who have a bloated self-worth and illusions of grandeur.

When I was hearing these stories of how they made people feel bad about themselves I was really angry and I wanted to go and start flagging but Terry as always kills hatred with kindness. That instead of flagging an account to oblivion, he would talk to these people and if they don't see his way then he knows he tried but will not punish them for having a different opinion. He will then just focus on the things that he can and that is to inspire people.

I honestly feel bad for my fellow uloggers and I know how a lot of people are looking down on us. We are the people that are not exceptional, we are untalented, most of us do not have English as our first language and struggle with grammar and spelling (especially true with me and my dyslexia!)

When I was drafting this post a song suddenly came into my mind.

• For when Ulogs were launched it already numbered in the thousands after a few days. It was listed in Google and changed the landscape, forever leaving the legacy of ulogs in the internet.

• For we are uloggers who must not become apologetic in creating our dreams, of ignoring the negativity and shine and become true celebrities and true fans of each other. Be there for each other when we are feeling tired and lacking inspiration.

• Motivate and make each one feel they are not alone. This is us, this is ulogs.

Project Ulog

I was singing along when I was writing and it felt so powerful that I want to make a video of volunteer Uloggers who will sing some of the lines and I will put it all together in one video.

I want people to feel powerful and inspired when they hear it and know that they are not alone. I am hoping that even Terry will sing in one part but I want people from all over the world.

Uloggers from each nation. If you are shy that your voice is bad don't because flaws are accepted, if you don't want to show your face, wear a mask or a filter, hide behind a blanket! We are not looking for perfection we are looking for you and what you want to offer.

I might sing as well but can't guarantee because I injured my throat making me unable to sing. It could be a story I will tell sometime.

I want this to be a gift to Terry and when he hears it be filled with some joy and inspire him as he inspires us.

I lost already the ability to be happy till i can learn anew, for now the only way to get happiness for me, is from watching others in happy state. i want to touch the globe from outside and i have imprisoned potential but i see my prison as a bubble with your many yes'. we'll poke at it and it will burst. I apply myself entirely to asking for this help because i am mere dust.
