Mermaid Monday Contest week 3# “Maya The Mermaid”

My husband took this adorable picture of our first grandchild born seven months ago, she is incredibly photogenic with those big beautiful blue eyes. I have painted around her pictures a few times now with my new iPad Procreate App. They’ve turned out very well so far.
I decided to turn her into a little mermaid for this very unique and fun contest, her name is Maya. And now she’s Maya the Mermaid 🧜♀️. My daughters name is actually Ariel coincidentally enough, her older brother (Maya’s dad if you’re paying attention!) named her Ariel because he loved Ariel in the Disney Movie “The Little Mermaid”. I might enter a drawing of her like this one, for this contest at another time. She’s very photogenic as well!

Trivia: A maya is a kind bird in the Philippines. It was once our National Bird, but it was changed to Philippine Eagle.

I loved when you said Hugs from the Philippines, just brightened my day brother because I know you sincerely mean it. That is a cool fact that there’s a bird in the Philippines called Maya. Yeah she is very beautiful she can be an actress when she grow up... The mermaid costume you made for her is perfect and suits her.
