How to buy gold at (below) spot price?
First, what IS the “spot price” of gold?
“A spot price is the current price in the marketplace at which a given asset such as a security, commodity or currency can be bought or sold for immediate delivery.”
In other words, the spot price is just current value of gold itself, minus any design or other fees.
When you purchase a gold coin for investment or savings, it is often advertised by how much you will pay above the current price of the metal, or “spot price”

The amount of the “above spot price” part makes up the cost for the design of the coin, the labor, the profit margin, etc. for the company selling it.
Gold “stackers” get really excited when they can buy a gold coin near spot price. This means they are getting a great deal and paying for only the metal itself with no premium.
Buying gold AT spot price?
THIS NEVER HAPPENS.

It is almost unheard of to buy gold “at spot”. That means, to literally just pay the current market price of the gold with no other fees.

Hi goldmatters. We have quite a few shops that have opened in the last couple of years that buy old gold. I bet they are offering to purchase below spot. If you had Mene you know what value you hold.If you had a 14 carat ring that would be different because its not pure.
