Lunch at Ben's

My ex-housemate Nick came back to Malaysia to stay for a few months because he loves the weather here & he is from New York. I haven't seen him for months. We had planned to catch up for lunch and shared @aaronleang & my experience on steemit since he is a copywriter, I remembered I did introduce steemit to him over the message. We were chit chatting while waiting for our food and updates each other about life.

Giant Lantern

We had our lunch in Ben's KLCC which overlooking the Big Lantern & The Park. You must be wondering why there is a significant Lantern? It's because Chinese New Year is in February this year. Overall Ben's restaurant environment is pleasant, the best time to come at 11 AM because of not many people, your order arrives faster & enjoy the excellent view.

Traditional Carbonara

I ordered myself a Traditional Carbonara made with sautéed beef bacon & garlic in a cream sauce with poached egg, parmesan cheese & crispy chicken bacon bits. The carbonara is not too creamy, it is Flavorsome & it was my first time that eating carbonara with an egg. The cost for the Traditional Carbonara is RM 35.00 ++.

After the lunch, @aaronelang & I was walking around the mall to take photos of the Chinese Decorations we stumbled upon a lady in a red dress playing "GuZheng" which is known as Chinese Zither in an open space surrounded by stores.

Walked around the park to enjoy the trees, seen many peoples jog the park although it is lunch time. The park has provided jogging track and also a public swimming pool.

MyJuniors Launched

It is exciting to announce that #myjuniors launched on the 10th of February 2018 at IOI Boulevard, Puchong & the very first workshop are CNY Decorations Making Workshop!

To foster a deeper bond between parent and child and enable them to understand and guide their child better.

#myjuniors launched & together with the Lantern.

In this CNY Decorations Making Workshop, we will be making decorations using Ang Pao Packets. All of the juniors learn step by step of how to make a Tanglung (Lantern) using Ang Pao Packet together with parents. The workshop started at 10:00 AM in the morning and ended at 12:00 PM. The participants were aged between 2 years old to 12 years old.

When I arrived, the 1st thing I saw is a very vibrant colour of Balloon, and it indicates that I didn't go to the wrong place. All the Balloon made by Uncle Tong, Thank you very much!

All of the committees are busy preparing and cutting the cute Corgi before 10:00 AM.

There are four facilitators which are @zord189, @littlenewthings, @wendygoh and myself, this was my first time to interact with a group of kids, and I have no experience, thankfully @coloringiship, @kukoryo & wife are there to assist me.

This is me getting to know them session before we start to do the Lantern together.

As the workshop started, each of the kids and I get 2 packets of Angpao. We then started to follow step by step instruction by @elizacheng to make the lanterns. It was actually fun and here we are taking photos with half done lanterns. Great achievement although half way!

We have a special guest @positivesteem came all the way from Sarawak to attend the Launched with us, thank you for your support!

At the end of the workshop, we had a surprise for @davidke20 & @francesaw for their 12th years anniversary which celebrated with a cake. Happy Anniversary!
