7th Cebu Steemit Bloggers Meet Up : Community above individuality
Community - are the people who gathered up having the same interests, likes and passion. These people I have witnessed last February 4, 2018 at Marisse Patisserie during the 7th Cebu steemit meetup oozing with pure positivity and open-mindedness, willing to learn and absorb every bit of details and ideas flowing throughout the place.
With pure honesty, It was overwhelming to see such group of individuals joined together with the same goal and purpose: to learn and share experiencesabout their blogging journey. As for me, It was my first, a first to be a part of an ever growing active community of brilliant minds here in Cebu City, also dubbed as one of the leading steemit community in the Philippines. How cool is that?
Treasuring every moment and making this meetup as a milestone to my steemit expedition, a heartfelt thank you to the core-leaders @steemph.cebu for organizing the event together with the great mission of forging the Cebu community into bigger, happier, healthier, more positive and successful society.
Mainly composed of talks, the person I won’t ever forget for that event is @itenerantph who cheerfully greeted our group while on the registration table. During the event, attendees were grouped as: newbies, existing users, and international. As an existing user, I learned a lot from our passionate speakers namely:
• @jassennessaj – who walked us through what is steemit all about, tips and tricks, down to the history of steemit, and explaning the idea and the visualization behind it.
• @themanualbot – who tackled all about the utopian.io and other steem related apps like steepshot, dtube, dlive, dmania and more.
• @ybanezkim26 and @thegailery who shared their tips and tricks on how to be curied and maximize your abilities in gaining so much exposure and money from just one HIGH quality blog post.
Being in this event made me realize the power of unity, that no matter how small you are now, if you stick to the community, you’ll GROW. Because just by merely reading the blogs of others will make you feel inspired and motivated to challenge yourself, squeeze your thoughts out to produce equally high quality content if not better for your next blog.

It was such a battle between laziness and motivation te cha, but I'm glad the motivation paved the way hahaha recalling the moments during the meetup made me get out of my bed and start writing a blog post. It would be such a waste if I didn't put into words all my thoughts during the event. Rather than stuck my ideas in my head, might as well make a write up. 😊
I agree deh. Congrats you made it. In my case, most of the time my laziness triumph than motivation. When ideas start to scrumble, might as well grab my fav pillow and fall asleep.

we did! it was such a successful event for the community with 100+ attendess all giving positive vibes during the event. All smiles and happiness.
This sounds FABULOUS! I would love to join in on a local meetup for bloggers... even though I'm not much for group activities in general, I would love to meet some other steemians in person and hear the talks that would be given.
