Happy Monday Steemians!

To everyone who chooses to visit this week's initiative I call Medicine Card Monday, we have a Spirit Animal card reading. All of my readings are geared towards a healing; breaking through mental, spiritual, or emotional blocks that will assist us in overcoming every day obstacles.

This week we are using the Spirit Animal deck and applying this to a healing I provide for the Steemit community.

If this is your first time swinging by, my Medicine Card Monday initiative is my positive intention to pull a card of healing or medicine for the community. This is different than tarot in that the cards I use are on the medicinal aspect of humanity other than the most common cards found in a tarot deck.

The decks I use are from Medicine Cards that work with Spirit Animals, Mystical Shaman Oracle Cards, and the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Cards. The cards will assist in helping those interested, find comfort in things going on in our community and the world we are now dealing with. Namely, issues around the world, astronomical, or overcoming health issues of all sorts, etc., maybe just something out of balance that we are feeling on any particular day that needs guidance.

By pulling a card for Steemit this will in turn assist with my Medicine training, give back to the community, and help those seeking answers. I will take some of the reading from guidebooks provided with the cards, but primarily give intuitive and medicinal words to help our community. We all have days when we need encouragement, inspiration, and comfort.

The card I picked for the week of May 21, 2018, is as follows:

The Card

Starting in a sacred space with a clear mind and body I pulled number 34 The Grouse - Sacred Spiral from the Medicine Cards created by Jamie Sams.

The Reading

The grouse once flocked in abundance throughout North America, but today are mostly found in nature preserves.

Many Plains Indian tribes dance the grouse dance to honor these birds. The movement of the dance follows a spiral, which is the ancient symbol of birth and rebirth, the ribbed tunnel of eternal return.

The Sacred Spiral is also one of the oldest known symbols for personal power. When you think of Grouse medicine, visualize a whirlpool or even a tornado, for the Sacred Spiral will take you to the Center. The spiral is a metaphor for personal vision and enlightenment.

Many Native American on a Vision Quests paint spirals on their bodies and believe that the Great Mystery will favor them with visions of power and purpose because of this symbol.

If you have Grouse Medicine, undertake a meditation on the various qualities of movement within your world. Analyze the way you move through your world.

How do you picture yourself in the act of locomotion? What kind of reaction do you create with the energy you send into the universe? What words would you use to describe the way you move through both the material and spiritual worlds? Is your movement compatible with your greatest desires and goals?

Many spiritual disciplines ask that you cease all external movement in order to recognize inner life. Grouse medicine is an invitation to dance in celebration of the Divine Source through its sacred spiral dance, and offers this dance to you as a gift.

What we see here is a message to look inward and not always at those around us. Maybe not putting blame on others or thinking negatively. First, look inward to see what is going on within ourselves. Are we creating positivity? If not maybe it is time to take a break and come back when we are ready to share the beauty that comes with finding the core of our true inner self.

What to keep in mind for the week:

Find your rhythm. Honor the synchronicity. Spiral into your potential.
