Why do not people wake up to the sound of snoring?
People who have been forced to sleep in a room with someone who snorts loudly know how annoying it is to stay awake all night while the person who caused this tragedy sleeps in peace and tranquility!
People can wake up on the sound of snoring them for only a few seconds before they go back to sleep! So they can not remember it when they wake up the next morning, according to the book Sleep: Puzzles, Problems and Solutions.
Snoring occurs when air enters the respiratory system through a partially dead end, according to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM).
When this occurs, the air vibrates as it flows through the tissue at the back of the larynx, resulting in the sound of snoring.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine estimates that about 24% of women and 40% of men usually have snoring.
Snoring is more common in those who are overweight, as they have more fatty tissue at the back of the larynx, which increases the vibrations.
Swallowing snoring may be a sign of a latent problem such as sleep apnea, a chronic form of snoring that is characterized by an airway obstruction in the back of the mouth during sleep.
The previous problem can cause a person to stop breathing for 10 to 30 seconds, although some people stop breathing for up to two minutes before their brain wakes up, according to the previous book (Sleep).
For those with the previous problem, blocked airways can stop them from breathing, so they wake up hundreds of times all night and are usually unable to remember the next morning.
In addition to preventing a person from feeling comfortable enough, poor sleep quality caused by chronic snoring can lead to cardiovascular problems, increased chance of metabolic syndrome, and sleep-related incidents.
