98x92 get this easily without a clculator!

There is a simple way to multiply numbers approximately by a power of ten.
Lets get started.

i. Look at one number and subtract it from the next power of ten
In this example: 100-98=2

ii. Subtract this from the secound number
92-2= 90 -> 90 is the first part of the solution
It’s also right if you subtract 100-92=8 and then from 98 = 90

iii. Cross multiply
multily the two differences from the next power of ten
2x8 = 16 -> the secound part of the solution

                    ---> 98 x 92 = 9016
