Market Flower Friday 🌹📷

I am going today to the local flower market. And again it is a walking distance from my home. Basically it is a small alley with few shops but one can find nicely arranged flowers and bouquets as well as pots with plants.
There are always holidays, birthdays, parties and flowers are bought on different occasions. But there are two days when these markets have their biggest turnovers and they stay opened till late hours.

March 8th is the International Women's Day. This is the day when traditionally every woman receives flowers from her family members and colleagues. And it is always pleasant to find nice flowers on your desk left by your male colleagues.
Our company has another tradition. The security guards are waiting at the entrance and give each woman flower in a pot.
Last year I have beautuful yellow pansies.

May 24th is a big holiday in Bulgaria, the day of the Bulgarian education and culture. On that day all students buy flowers for their teachers. Recently the local flower market stayed opened the night before, having huge supply and waiting for the early morning buyers.

This is a small selection of images I took the other day with my smartphone.

Of course this is not the only place to buy nice bunch of flowers. Each supermarket offeres the same like the one in the picture below. They also help to arrange presents. Very useful for someone like me who cannot wrap a box . 😉
