Market Friday: Christmas Market in Karlsruhe, Germany
On today's #marketfriday initiated by @dswigle I won't take you to the other side of the world as in last weeks Photo documentary on the Market in El Alto, Bolivia. Instead, this week I will share the Christmas market of my German home town Karlsruhe with you.

The Christmas market in Karlsruhe has recently been in the media all over Europe since an Islamist was arrested for plotting a terrorist attack on the Christmas market. Luckily, the attack was prevented and the market stayed open, so I was still able to get some shots with my wide-angle lens last week.

These shots are amazing in so many ways. What a scary thought that there was the potential for something horrific like that to happen. It frightens me.
Perhaps maybe that is why it is so beautiful. or perhaps it is just beautiful. I lived in Germany and loved, loved, loved it and miss the wonderful markets, especially at Christmas when all is calm, all is bright.

Totally! They also have some delicious food there but most of the food stalls were too crowded to get a proper photo.

I think I am already following you haha.
I am actually using the Nikon 10-20mm, they released it just this year and finally Nikon has a compact and lightweight wide angle zoom comparable to the Canon 10-18mm. I should probably include my gear somewhere in my posts :D
Canon also has a 10-20 (I have it)
