Ever been left gobsmacked by a toy store?

This guy doesn’t know what he’s about to see.

On a recent visit to Toy Traders in Langley, BC, Canada we received a MASSIVE gobsmacking!

Standing at the front entry my jaw dropped to the floor.

Ok first off, this toy store/collectibles mecca was HUGE. Or as that “one” guy would say, YUUUUUUUGE! Second, the site before my eyes was a complete sensory overload. Look up, life size E.T. Look left, thousands of Funko Pop figures, to the right life size Ewoks flanked by an army of Care Bears. Behind you, 20 foot tall Groot. We probably spent 10 minutes just standing at the front door overwhelmed and uncertain of where to look first.

What do we have here? Ewok, Care Bears, Muppets, Disney, Thor’s Hammer and a dinosaur!

Toy Traders was establishes in 1995. It has since become the largest independent toy store in British Columbia. They sell new and collectible items. As their name suggests, the store also conducts trades.

Look! It’s the Grinch straight chillin’ with a life sized hammerhead from Star Wars! He even saved a spot for a special friend.

Watch out Statler, Waldorf and Chef... a gremlin is eyeing your seats!

Toy Traders seemed to have EVERYTHING. Here is a list just off the top of my head: Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, G.I. Joe, Legos, Duplo, Play Mobile, Barbie, Care Bears, Boardgames, Magic the Gathering, Dr. Who, Marvel, Nintendo, D.C., Crayloa, Matchbox, Autographed celebrity photographs, movie posters, movie memorabilia, Funko Pop and Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles.

It’s a diorama of the battle for Hoth complete with 14 foot Death Star and 17 foot Imperial Star Destroyer!

Do you have kids?

Do you live with a 40 something year old man child?

If you are into what this store offers, it would be easy to drop SO MUCH CASH at Toy Traders. I saw items starting at around $10 CAD, all the way up to $1500 CAD. I have no idea of the cost on their life sized figures.

Somehow we made it out of Toy Traders only $50 down. Maybe we were too gobsmacked to spend more? It is a great shop and I am sure we will visit again one day.
