#MarchMadness Update: an Anthology is Afoot!
As #MarchMadness (arranged by @freewritehouse) continues, I've come to the startling realisation that I've written enough poems by now to put together my very first anthology! 😍 It will be called The Light Touch of Liberty. I do love it when inspiration suddenly strikes.
The poem below was written as a response to today's writing prompt, wild. The picture comes from the Temple of Isis page on Facebook.
The Return
The revolution
Will not be televised
But is happening anyway
In the hearts
Of all who dare
To run, wild and free,
Through our wastelands
Forged by fear.
The revolution
Is our return
To life.
It unfolds
In the eyes
Of all who dream
That our wastelands
Might be no more:
That we might create
Peaceful valleys
Forged by freedom.
