Magic Dice - Steem Dice Game Just Got Interesting

In the past I have written about the Tron Dice games.  Not because I love gambling as much as because I love earning passive income through dividends.  Well, Steem has one now and the time to earn the tokens is now before they are all gone.

The Game

I am sure you all know the dice games.  If you don't they are easy to understand.  Choose whether you want to roll over or under a particular number between 1 and 100.  Setting the number at 50 gives you just under 50% odds of being right and is adjusted based on if you choose a number lower or higher and which side of the number you bet you will hit.

Magic Dice is one of those games and it can only be played with Steem or SBD.

Until early this week I never cared much about Magic because, ya know, gambling.  Well, now they are offering tokens for each bet that will pay 70% of the house edge proportional to the amount of tokens you hold.  So, we are talking passive income here for as long as the site is live.  So, barring people suddenly not enjoying the thrill of betting that means pretty much until the internet ends.  Or in other words, forever.

The Magic

As if the dividend piece isn't magical enough there is more beauty in the way this is set up.  First, the tokens are non-transferable.  So, that means that what one person earns is theirs forever.  You can't sell it or buy it so the only way they are gotten is through playing the game.  

Second - and this is the best part - the fact that you can only play Magic Dice with Steem and SBD means that the coins on the Steem chain now have been given another reason to be bought on the exchanges.  In other words, they are now casino chips as well as the currency of the Steem Ecosystem, giving them that much more value.  In my opinion, it is this aspect that makes this Steem based game so good.  It is actually adding value to the Steem ecosystem.  

Breakdown of the Dividend System

There will be 7 Billion total tokens.  The Magic Dice tokens distribution starts at 200 per 1 Steem wagered.  For every 5% of the tokens distributed the distribution amount per 1 Steem will be halved.  So, after 5% have been distributed every 1 Steem wagered will reward the player with 100 Magic Tokens and so on and so forth.  This is why in the opening paragraph I mentioned that the time was now to play the game and earn the tokens.  

Lastly, the dividend payouts will start next month, in February 2019.

So go out and play some Magic Dice and get some tokens.  More importantly, be responsible about it!  

Quick Game Play Tips

Here is what i have been doing to decrease some of the risk and maximize the rewards: For thhe most part I play with a 50/50 chance.  What I do is choose a direction (over or under 50) and roll.  I always start with the lowest amount, .10 Steem.  If I loose the first roll I double the bet and roll again.  I continue this until I win and then start over.  This way, for every round of betting starting with .10 Steem I am receiving .10 Steem by the time I start over.  On top of that I am receiving the Magic Dice token.  Really, the Magic Dice token is what I am after here with the Steem being a bonus.

If you wanted to just rack up as many Magic Dice tokens as possible in the shortest amount of time, you could always just go with the highest odds of winning and betting a larger amount per roll.  An example of this would be to set up the bet to where you are wagering that you will roll over 6.  The chances of rolling over a 6 are more than 90% so, at least 9 out of 10 will be wins.  The problem with this is that the tokens will, per the odds cost you every tenth roll.
