MacroPhotography - Flowering succulents

This is my entry for #Macrophotography.

Previously, I did not see how the succulents bloom. I remember that my mother was fond of growing these plants. She collected them. She dreamed of seeing these plants bloom, but she did not wait for their flowers.

In those days, these plants just started to appear. in our locality. The first succulent was tree Crassula. Someone said that this plant blooms once every fifteen years.

I do not remember how many years this tree grew in our apartment. I remember that the pots changed every time the tree grew in size. As a result, a void formed in the trunk of the tree and it collapsed. This succulent was about one meter in height.

But, this is not a big tragedy. Each leaf of this succulent gave life to a new tree. I said that it is a tree, but, it looks like a tree only in appearance.

To me, succulents look more like mushrooms than like plants.

Even the flower I photographed looks like a mushroom. He is the same meaty. Petals can hardly be called petals.

Another suitable comparison is the sea anemone, or sea cucumber. Succulents look like sea creatures that were planted in open ground.
