Today we understand platonic love as that impossible or unattainable love, that person we desire with all our might but know that we will never have at our side. Which is a misconception since it only focuses on physical beauty.

In ancient Grace there was a philosopher and mathematician named Plato, who said in his dialogues that love was not just about physical beauty but about spiritual beauty, he held that true love is centered in wisdom and knowledge, not just the ideal of a person but the love of knowing and knowing him.
