Today’s topic — Marriage and Threats.

I’ve always had a problem with these people who say “If you leave a man with vision and marry a man with television you'll end up watching the man with vision on the television.”

Blah,Blah,Blah… Okay? The lady did not accept you, live with it, move from it, don’t start threatening her with what will happen with her future. Who are you to say her future isn’t brighter than yours? People marry people who claim to have vision and are poor and still remain poor their entire lives, same as marrying someone who is rich and they remain rich.

It's all about choice and one shouldn't be found ill-talking a person's choice even before he/she makes it, it's a choice and that's why you asked!

It is very irritating ... this thing that people who CLAIM to be spiritual do (note the words ‘claim’ and spiritual). Yesterday morning someone proposes marriage to me, I decline thrice — politely because I know the guts it takes to propose to someone (he and I aren’t even friends talk more of partners). I tell him that other things have my interest at this time. The next thing I get is the “God is sending you a helper and you’re rejecting him.” I certainly gave him a piece of my mind.

We need to stop forcing our opinions down people’s throats. I don’t know whether it has something to do with how people are brought up or if it is just how they are — stepping on the rights of others to say YES or NO. Every question you ask deserves an answer (if the person doesn’t want to ignore you) and it can either be a YES or NO.

Don’t start threatening them with ‘in future you will be this or that.’ Is it me that won’t be this or that and better? I have been friends with people when they had nothing and when they ‘blew’ didn’t remember the times I stuck with them. I didn’t go about telling people this and that because it’s their life! If someone won’t scratch with you leave them, maybe they’ve had scratch experiences too that turned bad. Leave them ! Don’t use God and the future as a shady excuse for stupidity.

This also sadly happens when people try to ask you for things that are yours and in the university for malpractice. If you’re saying your own future is bright, is it mine that is blurry? Me that the two LOMLs — drake and neymar are yet to notice me, have I threatened their existence?
