"Blessed are the merciful."—Matthew 5:7

Jesus taught:
"Blessed are the merciful."—Matthew 5:7
Jesus’s sacrifice on our behalf was the greatest example of mercy. We can follow His example by extending mercy and compassion to others wherever we can.

There is just no way on this earth that we can ever repay God for sending His son to die for our sins.

This is the greatest sacrifice ever made to human kind.

We can all try to be good to others, and we can forgive and forget. Yet none of this even slightly compares to what God has done for us.

There are many ways we try here on earth to be good to people, we will treat them well, and if at all possible we will help them when they have problems.

I personally feel so sorry for orphans. That is why when I am not writing “Light the world”, I write children stories with morals.

This makes me feel good because I try to teach children good morals. If it was at all possible I would have loved to give orphans a wonderful Christmas, by giving them a meal like they had never had before, and a Christmas tree that they can decorate.

If all come together and even give small gifts to these children the one thing I would love to see is the smile on their faces.

If you think about it, in the bible we do not just see people who help the ones they know, but even the ones they don’t know.

To me that is mercy. In our lives we find that we come across people who treat us badly, by just showing mercy to them, by forgiving them is also what God would want from us.

Just by giving and helping people we are merciful. But by loving our Saviour for dying on the cross, and trying to live the way he is asking us to.

That to me is showing mercy to all. God said I did not send my son to bring peace on earth but I want you to pick up your cross, and follow me. That is the only way that you will reach the Father in Heaven. Yet this is not possible in today’s life as that was in the past.

Therefore we must help other people carry their cross and try to help them to reach happiness and the love for God.

Without the love for God we do not stand any chance no matter what we do for others, as God said you must love me more than anyone you know, even if it is a family member. This is not easy, and we must really think long and hard about our love for God.

Just as he told us in Matthew5:7 “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” By this I think God wants us to show mercy and never talk bad or be bad to people as this is something he will not forgive.
