Hey There Friends . . .

Well it's the start of another week, and as a life coach I find myself constantly looking at the faces of the people who go to work, school, or wherever they might be going on Monday mornings. And guess what? The look in their eyes tells me a lot of things concerning their joy and enthusiasm about starting another week!!

You see, when I look into the eyes of CHILDREN, (as I always do), I see a certain level of sheer excitement!! It's almost as though they leave for school like the little dwarfs in the movie "Snow White", who always marched off singing, "Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho, it's off to work we go!!" But when I look at the faces of many ADULTS, I very often see a look like the sleepy eyed character, "Fred The Baker" in the famous Dunkin Donuts commercials, who always seemed totally exhausted!! But somehow Fred managed to finally muster the strength to throw his legs over the side of the bed and say, "Oh well, it's time to go make the donuts?" (Lol) 😂
Now folks, can I ask you sumthin? What happened to YOU!!?? How did you CHANGE from a once excited and starry-eyed child, who was full of EXCITEMENT, into the twin brother or sister of Fred The Baker? Have you ever stopped to think about that? 🙊
Behavioral Scientist have determined that more heart attacks and sudden deaths occur on Monday mornings, between 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., than any other day of the week!! And numerous studies have shown that morning heart attacks during this time-frame, tend to be MORE SEVERE than those that occur later in the day. I'm tellin' ya folks, people seem to be KILLING themselves, just THINKING ABOUT getting out of bed and starting another week of work!!!

But let me ask you this: What days do you think the studies suggest which have the LOWEST RATES of stress related heart attacks? Yup, you guessed it -- THE WEEKENDS (Saturdays and Sundays). So I guess there's some truth to the old saying, "I'm just LIVIN' FOR THE WEEKEND!!" (Lol) 😊🤓

Well all I'm trying to say is that I honestly enjoy looking at the beautiful HOPES and DREAMS that I see in the eyes of school children!! And it saddens me when I see adults on Monday mornings, riding the buses, commuter trains and driving cars, looking like Fred The Baker, with that "time-to-make-the-donuts" LOOK!!! Because I know deep inside that a lot of people are NOT really LIVING!!! They are merely HUSTLING and SURVIVING to make a LIVING!! And there's a BIG DIFFERENCE!!
But please forgive me if it sounds like I'm JUDGING anyone, because I'm NOT!! As a minister, a lawyer, and a life coach, I've been trained to carefully observe & evaluate human behavior and attitudes. And trust me, even if I hadn't learned all of that, I'm not afraid to say, I can usually draw a lot of conclusions about people --- BY THE LOOK IN THEIR EYES!!! 🙏🏿
