Why "Mission Impossible" series lasts so long?
Have you watched Mission: Impossible – Fallout?
55-year-old Tom Cruise, still handsome, still risking his life, hate CGI, insist on doing his own stunts. Drag racing, skydiving, rock climbing, flying a helicopter ... Tom Cruise makes you all kinds of nervous and excited.
"Mission: Impossible – Fallout", become the best among the series. (at least for me)
Although I am impressed, but I can't help thinking, Tom Cruise is already 55 years old, why is he still working so hard, risking his life?
Compare with the same genre like "007" and "The Bourne Identity", why "Mission Impossible" series did better?

Few people will remember the name of the director, but you sure will remember who is the main actor, even if you only remember just the face.

From Fast and Furious, either Vin Diesel or Paul Walker.
And from Mission Impossible, there is none other than Tom Cruise.
We are afraid to pay the money to watch a bad movie, but there are always movies, some actors, you will always pay to watch in the cinema.
Because these people have impressed you with their personal charm.
Tom Cruise's "Mission Impossible" series, has been going for more than 20 years. When filming "Mission Impossible- Fallout", Tom Cruise is already 55 years old. As always, handsome of course needless to say, but at this age, he is still insisting on doing stunts himself, skydiving at high-altitude, jump from building to building, drag racing, flying a helicopter. He insisted on doing the stunts himself without using doubles.
Look at the “behind the scenes”, when I saw the part where Tom Cruise broke his ankle, I feel pain. But during the interview, he is still smiling.
Just with these are worth to watch the movie.
Actors who bring us stability, and security, are easy to capture our hearts.
We are filled in this uncertain world, we know that there is a person who will as always bring us what we want.
This is a kind of personal charm, is a kind of trust.

2. Approaching reality
The most valuable quality of a person is sincere and real, and so is the movie.
"Mission Impossible" series can defeat the same genres like the "007" and "The Bourne Identity", is because it is real enough.
"Mission Impossible" series of positioning, is without using the green screen and CG as much as possible, as real as possible, which is largely attributed to Tom Cruise 20 years of perseverance in principle.
Every time we look at the series, all actions are intense, frightened, looking at Tom Cruise challenges one after another seemingly impossible mission.
Fancy tricks, fancy CGI, wonderful words, can easily “tricks” us.

The movie started with Ethan trying to save his old friend and took the blame, and the boss appreciates him more because of this and gave him a chance to remedy.
The next story, to remedy, with all kinds of risking his life, he chose the least killing way to complete the mission, but on the way to save an innocent female police, he killed 5 men who sent to monitor Ethan’s action.
Near the end of the movie, Ethan met his estranged wife, from the dialogue of his old friends and his wife, detonated the emotional lines of the entire series, Ethan risking his life, not only to complete the mission but also for love!
In the present era, we really do not lack of big production, not lack of good actors, not lack of good-looking actors. While the "Mission Impossible" series is the route of commercial films, the audience's aesthetic level has not only stayed in the story or the scene.
We would like to see a movie that is emotionally flowing and has a soul.
