Dreams make our life better
Some people say that the dream is a warm guiding lamp, illuminating our life toward the goal; Some people also say that dreams are also a valuable gold mine, tempting us to continue to dig. For me, dream is a slowly rising sun, it lets the person with dreams glow. Life has become more exciting, more splendid.
Ten years ago, when China's astronaut Yang Liwei first flew, a little girl named Wang Yaping buried her dream seed in her heart: she wanted to burst out of the atmosphere and see the mysterious world in space.
Ten years later, relying on unremitting efforts, the little girl finally became the first female astronaut in China.
John Goddard, a famous American explorer, was a 15-year-old kid who had never seen anything in the suburbs of Los Angeles. He always has a warm dream, listed down the things that he wants to do in a long list. On the list are listed: "Explore the Nile, the Amazon and the Congo River, Mount the Everest, Kilimanjaro Mt. and Matterhorn, and harness elephants, camels, ostriches, and wild horses ..." Each item is numbered and has 127 goals.
When Goddard wrote the dream solemnly on paper, he began to seize all the time to realize them.
When he was 16 years old, he and his father went to Georgia's Okefenokee Everglades and Florida State to explore.
It was the first time he had completed a project on his list, and he learned to dive with only a mask and not wear a diving suit, drive a tractor, and buy a horse.
At the age of 20, he had been submerged in the Caribbean Sea, the Aegean Sea and the Red Sea. He also became an Air Force pilot with 33 combat flights over Europe.
He traveled to 21 countries at the age of 21.
At the age of 22, he found an ancient temple of Mayan culture in the depths of the jungles of Guatemala.
In the same year, he became the youngest member of the "Los Angeles Explorer Club" ever.
Then he prepared for his grand ambition, which is to explore the Nile.
When Goddard was 26 years old, he and two other expedition partners came to the source of the Nile in the mountains of Burundi. Following the Nile expedition, Goddard began a succession of speeding up his goals: In 1954 he took the whole Colorado, R. by bamboo: He explored the 2700-mile-long Congolese River in 1956, and he lived in the wilderness of South America and in New Guinea with those who eat their lives and cut the enemy's heads as trophies.
He climbed Ararat and Kilimanjaro Mt., flew twice in the supersonic jet fighter, wrote a book, and started as a full-time human scholar.
He also had the idea of making films and being an orator, and in the next few years, he raised funds for his further adventures through lectures and films.
At the age of 60, Goddard still looked young and handsome, he is not only a veteran of several expeditions, but he also as a filmmaker, author, and orator. Goddard has completed 106 out of the 127 goals.
In his journey to achieve his goals, Goddard had 18 dead-life experiences.
“These experiences taught me to cherish life a hundredfold, and I want to try everything I can do,” he said.
A man without a dream, his life must be bleak, yellow, without luster. A man without a dream, his life is like a ship without a goal, bumpy winnow, no direction. A man who has no dream, his life is like a cloud obscured by the sun, without light, can’t give people warmth.
Life can be long and also short.
Around us, some people work hard all day for their dream, although bitter but happy, some people are wasting time, looks nice on the outside, but the inside is empty.
Dream throughout our life, has big and small, although seemingly distant, but it is because of these dreams, we have the vitality to have the fighting spirit, and will be more understanding of hard work, our life will become more exciting!
