DO BETTER!!!

Almost 10 years ago I was working diligently on a project for my boss- the then CEO of the company I worked for.

I stayed late, I came in early, I worked my ASS off to complete this task. I had easily outpaced my peers to get to this point, and I wasn't about to stop now.

Feeling pretty good about myself, I gave my presentation at our next meeting. I saw some head nodding around the table, okay good signs. At the head of the conference table though sat my boss. "This isn't going to work." he said.

Getting defensive I jumped in to explain why it would.

"This - isn't - going - to - work."

He repeated.

"What do you mean?" I stammered, dumbstruck. "I've been working on this all week."

"You can do better than this... don't come back until you can bring me something I can use."

I started up again on the merits of this project and again began rambling about how much time I'd put in on it and...

He held his hand up, signaling me to stop.

"Jess.. you can work really hard.. and still do a bad job. DO BETTER."

I let that sink in.

"You can work really hard and still do a bad job"

I gathered my stuff and left.

Responsibility

You want to know why most people have jobs? They don't own their work. They don't take responsibility. After all, it's far easier to complain about your boss, than fail yourself as an entrepreneur. You don't like your boss? Leave. Start your own company. Why not?

You won't though. Because you're afraid. And the fear cripples you. So you complain.

It's far easier to be a VICTIM. It's not your fault for your lot in life, it's your idiot manager. The idiot president that's running this country into the ground. Maybe if daddy had loved you, you would have made something of yourself.

It's literally anyone and EVERYONE else besides you that is to blame for how things turned out for you, and now you're miserable and powerless.

But you don't have to be.

Once you stand up and take responsibility for your own actions, really take responsibility, let me tell you the skies the limit.

Embrace you own power, LEARN from your failures and have the STRENGTH to push forward.

Sure you're gonna screw up, it's OKAY. That's how you learn. If you're not screwing something up, you're not trying hard enough!

PUSH yourself.

I hear so many people complaining. They get on facebook and they complain, or they troll message boards and leave nasty messages on You tube. They don't like their life and they're not doing anything to make it better. They feel trapped. They feel stuck and it's their own fault. Get UP. I've got new for you..

Whether you're working a 9-5, or working on your own venture, you should always be trying to excel, to push yourself past your limits. Continually seek to improve yourself, and be your best YOU.

Push past all of your excuses, mindless busy work, and EXCEL already.

What do you want? What do you really want?

Formulate a plan to get there and then EXCUTE. Everyday, without fail.

As for my project, I did go back and re do it and I CRUSHED it.

Now you get out there and do the same.

Until next time.

I Was invited into the office to my feminist boss and asshole boss who told me that they aren't happy with my work and that feminist masculine old fat pig just said "we can always replace you".

I simply never went there again, had no money. Had to do whatever it takes to get moneys. Mow lawns, do freelance jobs, clean cars, do retardedly underpaid work just so I have money.

And 1 year later I own my own business. I didn't want to be depressed anymore, I didn't wanted to be treated like a slave anymore.

I am a fucking man and I deserve more. My ancenstors have not lived and fought to see me like this.

I own it to myself, to my ancestors and to my gods to become a demigod walking on this planet.

This is my own life and I am not here to serve others.

Damn, that is awesome and a sick ass pic of Thor

You are interested in Odinism?

No I am not, but I did read your posts on it and I certainly don't disagree with any of the values.

When I was a kid, I was really interested in religion and studied the Norse, Greek, and Aztec gods right alongside Christianity, Judaism, and later Islam.

Currently, I believe the closest thing I have to religious text is a book of Buddhist lessons I keep on my nightstand. Though admittedly I have not picked it up in over 6 months.

I've just always liked Thor though. In fact I was an artist growing up and I penciled and colored this full page THOR, lightning hammer and all. I wish I could find it, I'd post it.

Interested in religion as a kid is certainly rare! Even if you are not religious, the story of the Norse gods are certainly badass, hence all the movies and songs about them.

Would be cool if you find the picture! Here is a great picture I found of Odin. Really like it. I should somehow print it and build a little alter where I can make offerings to the Norse gods. Sadly I have no isolated place or empty rooms in my apartment.
