Can Gluten Cause Aids?

in #life6 years ago

Few days ago I was so desperate to raise some 300$ USD that I resulted to shameless begging on Facebook (I am still desperate).

After explaining my situation in a group, I checked backed later to see I had a lot of comments on my post. I opened the post with high expectations (maybe a lot of people wanted to help me) only to see that someone had challenge me to write a proof that gluten could cause aids. And others where saying mocking me by telling me to write the proof.

They said it had to be convincing at least to a noob to be accepted. I hurriedly wrote the proof but I was banned from the group so I couldn’t share it. I hope I am able to raise sixty steem dollars with this post.

Can gluten cause aids?

GLUTEN CAN CAUSE AIDS.

If you have been following health news for the past one to two years you would have easily noticed the rising popularity of the gluten free diet. Most people know gluten is kind of bad for their health but very few people really know how bad it is. Gluten has been cited as a cause of weight gain but it has never been linked to a deadly disease like AIDS.

Is this health concern of twenty two percent of adults in America, a concern so great that it created an 8.8 billion dollar industry (Eatingwell.org) more deadly than the world thinks it is?  Can the gluten in the foods you really eat cause AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome)?

To explore this idea let's first understand what AIDS is.

According to healthline.com aids is a complex condition that develops when there is a serious damage to the immune system. (heathline.com)

According to WEBMD Aid is the disease you get after HIV weakens your immune system. (WebMD) AIDS causes a lot of opportunistic infections which would never be present a person with a fully functioning immune system would never get.

From this we can draw our conclusion that AIDS is a condition where the immune system is damaged or weakened.

 The Traditional Precursor to Aids

We all understand HIV essentially causes AIDS but have we ever asked ourselves how.HIV  which stands for Human Immune Virus. How does HIV destroy the immune system it destroys the immune system by attacking a particular cell known as the lymphocyte cell. It destroys this cell and makes it had for it very difficult to heal. When you have HIV even a minor infection like cold can be more severe because your body now finds it very difficult to protect it as a result of the cells that are being damaged or weakened.

Since we now know that HIV is a virus that damages the immune system and causes AIDS which can also agree that when a person’s immune system is damaged or weakened it means he or she has AIDS.

Having established this fact through common sense and logic the question I want us to ask ourselves is: Is HIV the only condition that can damage or weaken the immune system?

  Celiac disease and gluten

Gluten is a protein found in certain grains found in grains like wheat, and barley. Gliadin and glutenin are the two main gluten proteins.

Celiac disease is an immune reaction to eating gluten. Celiac disease simply means gluten sensitivity it is an immune reaction to eating gluten a protein found in foods like wheat barley and rye.Another source says celiac disease is an autoimmune enteropathy caused by gluten in genetically predisposed individuals (Mayo Clinic, 2017) and according sciencedaily.com up to forty percent of the world’s population is predisposed.

Having seen that that celiac is caused by gluten; let me show you how celiac disease which is triggered by eating gluten causes AIDS.

Celiac disease is a condition whereby the immune system responds to gluten damage by damaging the finger like villi of the immune system. When the villus becomes damage the body becomes unable to absorb nutrients which can lead to undernourishment. This weakens the immune system. (Beyondceliac.org, 2017) According to Cleveland clinic (Livestrong.com, 2017), even a small deficiency in nutrients may lower the immune system. Also an autoimmune response (celiac disease is an example of an autoimmune response) places stress on the immune system which might leave you more susceptible to illness.

My study done from different forums shows people living with celiac disease complaining of several illnesses. This can only happen when a person’s immune system is not functioning at optimal mode.

On the first forum the original poster says”I just notice that it takes me a while to recover from colds and respiratory infections. I always tend to catch something during the holiday season and it lasts until March... I am just curious if there is a strong link between being gluten sensitive (and eating gluten) and a slower recovery from sickness.

”The second poster replies”…….  I became much less susceptible to any sickness going around after I went gluten-free. Before that I felt like I had a compromised immune system.” Yet another one says “From my experience, yes. Before going gluten free, every injury I had that was enough to scab would get infected, and now that almost never happens” (Reddit, 2017)

Remember our definition of AIDS (damage and weakness to the immune system).AIDS is a condition where the bodies immunity doesn't function properly. There is a loss of ability of the immune cells with time which causes invasion by various infections and the subsequent acquisition of several diseases such as pneumonia.

So if celiac disease weakens to the human immune system. We can also say celiac disease is another form of HIV which causes AIDS.

As we can see from this screen shots and of several people with celiac complaining on Reddit  about easily getting sick. Here is a link to the page.

What are the symptoms of AIDS?This are some of the symptoms of aids in both men and women; committing, fatigue, recurring chills, recurring chills, recurring, Memory loss, confusion and neurological disorders. (STDCHECK, 2017) When we compare these symptoms with the illnesses suffered by people with celiac disease we can find a strong similarity.

Also celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that results that results in intestinal damage and a wide range of clinical manifestations. (Pubmed, 2017) As we can see celiac diseases causes a lots of illnesses’ which results in the immune system being weakened by as a result of being overworked.

People get sick as a result of the damage to the immune system so we can clearly see the relationship between aids and celiac disease.

So the summary is HIV causes aids by damaging the immune system, AIDS is a condition where the immune system is damaged. Gluten causes celiac disease which also damages the immune system which means gluten causes a condition where the immune system is damaged. And that condition is also called AIDS.

The relationship between stress, gluten and damage to the immune system

Gluten insensitivity or non celiac gluten sensitivity is a condition where the body fails to absorb critical nutrients thereby causing blood sugar instability in the body.

The adrenal gland is very susceptible to blood sugar instability; it puts a lot of stress on the adrenal glands. With stressed adrenal glands the body has to make a decision to prioritize some tasks over the others. It does this by performing the most critical tasks and leaving the others undone.

The problem is all the activities of the adrenal glands are vital and none is less important than the other. So when the body chooses to prioritize the body really suffers.

Think about some of the functions of the adrenal glands. They make adrenaline to provide energy in certain situations; they support the immune system to successfully fight off infections.

They also work with the thyroid, pituitary and hypothalamus glands to keep the endocrine systems able and functioning, they dictate our weight so we can have an ideal weight, and they make precursors to sex hormones so we can have stable moods and hormonal balance. They also make natural anti-inflammatory and natural antihistamines and this is not even all. (Celiac.org, 2017)

So imagine if due to stress it had to stop one or more of its functions. Look at what that would cause and compare it with the symptoms of AIDS mentioned earlier and you would see a strong correlation.

As we move on, remember adrenal imbalance is caused by non celiac gluten sensitivity.

So how does adrenal stress affect the immune system? From the he functions of the adrenal glands we can see that if the adrenal gland is stressed the ant inflammatory function and immune system may stop working. This will affect the body in mainly two ways:

1.  It creates chronic inflammation that harms the tissue.

2.  It suppresses the immune cells needed to fight infection. (ADRENALFATIGUE.COM, 2017)

Anyway for this essay we are more interested in number two. When the immune system is suppressed there is a deregulation of the immune system and this increases the vulnerability of the body to infectious diseases.

It clearly appears that the stress can reduce our immune system abilities to fight off antigens the invader that makes us ill and more vulnerable to infection. Once this stress continues over time the immune system is considerably weakened which will result in more infections and diseases.

From our definition of aids above which is a condition where the immune system is weakened or damaged. We can see that adrenal gland fatigue causes AIDS and adrenal gland fatigue is caused by non celiac gluten sensitivity.
