Thirty-Three Days

I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday and I probably won’t post anything tomorrow. I’ll be on the road from about seven a.m. until at least midnight tomorrow night, taking four dogs to rescue in Pennsylvania. Three others are riding along for evaluation, which means I had to bathe seven of them tonight--by myself. I also had to load the SUV with crates and finish all the transport paperwork. I got it done, but I wish I could get more than five hours of sleep before making that round trip drive.

This is a very short post, but the photos sum it up well. Especially the top one. Smiley’s face says it all. He and his brother were very well behaved during their baths and are now sleeping quietly in their crates. Every day I grow more and more hopeful that they will lead normal, happy lives with a human who understands them.

And yes--the water from that hose is warm. I have it specially plumbed for dog baths.
