Clean it up #1: Málaga Gibralfaro

Dear Steemit readers,

A few weeks ago I wrote an opinion about people leaving garbage on the street, the beach, mountains,...
Sadly, as I'm fairly new and I don't know how Steemit works, almost no one has read it. Anyways, instead of complaining I started doing something about it. I started a small movement in Málaga, Spain (where I live) and started organizing cleanups.

For the first cleanup we went to the little park next to the Gibralfaro castle. I made a bit of publicity on facebook groups to get more people to help and in the end, a team of 10 motivated people showed up to clean up other people's trash.

So here's the thing, we're planning our next cleanup on the 3rd of February. I don't know if there are any Málaga residents here that would like to help out. If so, let me know and I'll get you more information on the event. Hopefully our little project can inspire people to start doing the same.

We really need to take care of what we have. Every piece of trash left on the street or on the beach can potentially end up in the ocean. There it will take thousands of years before it's disappeared. If everyone picks up 1 piece of trash each day, it would already make a huge difference.

Hace unas semanas escribí una opinión sobre la gente que deja su basura en la calle, la playa, la montaña,...
Desgraciadamente, como soy nuevo en esto y aún no entiendo muy bien como funciona Steemit, casi nadie lo ha leído.
De todas formas, en lugar de quejarme he decidido de tomar acción. He empezado un pequeño movimiento en Málaga, España (donde vivo ahora) y he empezado a organizar limpiezas.

Para la primera limpieza fuimos al pequeño parque que está al lado del Gibralfaro. Hice un poco de publicidad en grupos de facebook para animar a más gente y al final fuimos un grupito de 10 personas motivadas para recoger la basura de otros.

Ahora vamos a hacer nuestra segunda limpieza el 3 de febrero. Si hay gente aquí que es de Málaga y le interesa participar, escribeme y yo te doy más información. Ojalá podremos inspirar a otra gente en otras ciudades para hacer lo mismo!

Tenemos que cuidar mejor a la naturaleza. Cada pieza de basura en la calle o en la playa puede terminar en el mar, donde tarda miles de años en degradarse (así se dice?). Si cada persona recoge una pieza de basura a diario, ya sería una diferencia enorme!
