~*~Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~

in life •  9 months ago

As hopefully you know by now, parenting is of the utmost importance to me. In fact, one of the favorite of my quotes is a bold statement: ~*~Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~

Not only is parenting a huge part of my life, but I have also found that it just may be the most important/influential part of life, and thus deserves WAY more exploration and evolution.

Parenting is the foundation of all of our lives, for better or for worse...

I feel it’s very important to address some of the core consciousness in regards to parenting/family, as not only is it of the utmost importance to me, but I have also started to post a lot more about family life here on Steemit due to the success of @qiqi-power and @noki-power, the Steemit accounts for my two daughters.

You can find their introduce yourself posts and much more there.

I am going to dedicate this time to make a post about why I feel parenting is of such great importance and give some insight into what results I have had improving my life and the lives of many others so much over the years.

First off, I want to say that I have always been around children. I had younger siblings as a child and started a very successful “babysitting” gig when I was about 10-12. I did that quite regularly until I was 16 or so and then could make better money for my time in other ways.

I have also been speaking at conferences on parenting/education since I was 18. Even though I didn’t have children until I was in my late twenties, parenting has always been of great importance to me, because I know the great influence it has on our lives and have also felt that the way education and parenting is handled in this world—especially this country—needs MAJOR improvements.

While speaking at conferences on parenting, but not having kids, I have met some resistance from parents saying things like “when you have had children for 15 years, then talk to me about it” or “how can you talk about parenting if you don’t have children?” etc etc. My response has always been “I was a conscious child, and because of that, I remember what worked and what didn’t work and also what it’s like being a child in an adult-controlled world. I also have been around children as an adult with great success."

Despite not having children myself, I have had a lot of experience and great success helping other parents and families greatly improve their lives. The people who were able to sense that have reaped the rewards through my talks or private consultations. I even had @adamkokesh film a TV show at my ecovillage one time, and he was blown away by the competence and responsibility of such young children.

Now, it’s true that it is way different being a “parent” as opposed to being a “babysitter”. Just because children have always tended to like me more and listen to me better than their own parents, that does not necessarily mean it could or would successfully apply to them as “parents”.
However, now I have 3 children of “my own” (I do not believe parents should “own” children or treat them as “property”) and have also had children living under my roof at The Garden of Eden for many years.

Currently, there are 3 other children under 6 years of age, and I have provided better lives for them than their own parents could.

Not to mention the other "fully grown children" whom I look after and help show what living is really about on a daily basis.

I have had great success with all the children that have come here - not only getting along with them playing and such, but more importantly helping greatly improve their behavior and overall capability. We have 4 year olds in diapers, children with tantrums, children incapable of doing almost anything, besides making messes etc etc., but in this environment they evolve leaps and bounds in very little time.

“My” 3 children are also quite exceptional, and the difference between them and most children is quite apparent.  I credit that less to their genes as I do their upbringing.

So the question may now be “well, what is exceptional and what makes them exceptional?” I will take some paragraphs to list some of the “achievements” that I deem to be successful and be worth the word “exceptional”. Obviously success is relative, but I think everyone can agree that happiness, health, and responsibility are of the utmost importance.

All 3 of my children, including my very first, were born naturally without any professional influence. No doctor, midwife, doula, or even books on the matter were used nor needed (I will make a post specifically about natural birth and even a post about giving birth in a third world country).

None of my children have ever had a shot, a doctor check up, or taken any kind of western medicine ever—of course that means no vaccines or immunizations. Despite this, they have always been and are currently exceptionally healthy, smart, and strong. None of them have ever been seriously sick with anything more than a runny nose and cough.

All 3 of my children have been going pee and poo in the toilet since they were 3 weeks old. They of course were not strong enough to take themselves to the toilet, but were conscious and smart enough to be able to do it on command VERY consistently since that age. This is one of the greatest proofs that I use to try and get through to parents just how much potential children have and just how misunderstood their potential capability is.

Both my 6 and 4 year old have been voluntarily helping out with chores since they were about 2. They are great at doing dishes, putting away toys, sweeping, dusting, wiping, and any kind of general cleaning tasks. They know how to and help us properly plant and harvest our food. They know what all the edible plants are and also what the non-edible plants are on our land. They even know the names of many of them!

(3 children having fun while washing mason jars, using well water from our land!)

They both help with the preparation and cooking of food.

@qiqi-power and @noki-power not just making their own fried eggs, but doing it over open flame on a hand made earthen rocket stove in an outdoor kitchen!)

They both have been using very sharp kitchen knives with extreme competence and responsibility since they were 1.5-2 years old, chopping vegetables, and even dicing garlic! They can even  fry their own eggs over open fire flames.

(@qiqi-power chopping all the veggies for a home grown salad!)

They learn things very, very fast and have very good memories. They are generally capable of doing whatever it is they want to do, and they are excellent communicators with a great depth of vocabulary. They eat very healthy foods and take natural medicines or supplements if necessary -and it's not an ordeal.

They hardly ever whine, almost never fight, and are fully capable of having "adult conversations" about important matters. They are very reasonable, and when it comes to some kind of a debate, they agree with logic and reason and also use arguments based on logic and reason. They even compute mass amounts of information and come to conclusions based on their own deductions about life matters on a regular basis.

I could go on and on listing things they have done that I find extraordinary, but what is actually most important to me is their well being. They are VERY happy, honest, free, healthy, responsible and still innocent. They have a great love for people and themselves. They have not been broken or scarred.

I have found that “parenting” is a very touchy subject kinda like religion and politics, because it's so personal. While I disagree with most parents, I also respect that every parent has the freedom to parent as they see fit. I have not tried to change parents, but to be there with love and wisdom for the ones who are ready to be responsible and present parents. I am not here to say what's right or wrong, or even to give advice, just simply to share my REAL life experience and the super extraordinary results I have gotten. This revolutionary perspective has changed lives and been a great benefit to many.

Here is a quote from "Wild Family Studios", whose entire business is based on extraordinary parenting:

"Quinn Eaker is an inspiration! Through his words and his actions as a rad daddy, he reminds me to look to the children as examples of free living, free thinking, freewheeling...

We at Wild Family Studio are grateful to have his superb contributions in film and book projects, and we're lucky to have his philosophy on record." -- Kabirin Lindsay, Director at Wild Family TV, www.wildfamily.tv

Because of my very alternative lifestyle living in an ecovillage and my unorthodox parenting style, I unfortunately have had CPS (Child Protective Services) hunt me multiple times, because of reports from haters trying to hurt me. Yet every single time, I have handled them with great success, without having to compromise.

In fact, there are hundreds of people that would testify to these children being as happy, healthy, and capable as any children they have EVER seen. I even have affidavits used to deal with CPS, not just under penalty of perjury, but also pains of death, saying that I am the best father they have ever met and wish they had me for a father themselves.

I feel that the most influential changes humanity can make for a healthier and happier future lie in the evolution of parenting/education. Because of this, parenting is of the utmost importance to me and I feel it is one of the most valuable contributions I can make to the world.

In future posts, I hope to share what parenting is like from my perspective and how parenting can be not only successful, but enjoyable as well. At some level, all parents want is for their children to be a success.

Unfortunately, the way parenting/education is generally addressed does not result in real success, especially success that guarantees health, freedom, fulfillment and happiness. I really hope this topic and my perspective on the matter is of interest and value. Please comment and let me know.

Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~

Wow @quinneaker. This is one of the best posts on Steemit!!!!!

Being a witness, and personally involved, in the beauty that is your children, I can say that I have never experienced such profound outcomes of life lived in the true honoring of the divinity of children. Your way with them is so inspiring, leaving really no words to express the magnificence.

These adorable beings are a true testament to your ability to see and live the real blessing, giving rise to children empowered beyond the ability of most adults. And not only are they empowered, they are so freakin' happy and joyous, so present, expressive, open and loving. They touch the hearts of so many simply through their photographs---so much luscious energy shining through.

I am so glad you are writing about parenting. Amongst many of the conscious things you have to share, this to me is one of the most important and life changing realities. When people have the opportunity to see the outcome, perhaps they will be able to find a way to give this gift to their loved ones as well. The example of parenting you set at the @gardenofeden truly is worth basing our lives upon. A more precious gift to the world I cannot imagine.

Thank you for being you @quinneaker. For showing us how to stand strong in our convictions to create a new paradigm life for the children. For exemplifying the beauty of unconditional love. And for writing about these amazing aspects of existence to share with those who are ready.

Soooooo much magnificence!!!

It's so great to be loved! <3

Your children are the happiest, most capable, smartest, most helpful, caring, considerate, responsible children I have ever met, which is obviously a great testimony to their upbringing & free lives.

I see that you do not speak down to them, yell at them, "punish" them by taking away their things or threatening them, and never, never, never physically abuse them...and it's really sad to say that simply not abusing children passes as "good" parenting in our society.

I am looking forward to more of your posts on parenting and family, because people need to know what actual good parenting looks like! The way you actively engage, support, encourage, nurture, and protect them is amazing - I've never seen it before.

·

Thank You Sara~

I have been passionate about "parenting" for a very long time, in fact i would say it was my "first profession"

You are an exceptional being and your testimony here give me great pride. I do feel that I already know it to be true, maybe even more so than what you observe, yet one can never protect ones self from delusion. Delusion is a dangerous thing.

I appreciate you sharing such profound testimony on such a truly important topic. This gives me great motivation to contribute more on this subject as I have always wanted to and do feel it is of the utmost importance.

However people seem to care MUCH more about money, fame, being cool, being right, fighting, etc etc than the children.

However I see a growing community of beings more and more conscious and aware that these matters are of the utmost importance and I am grateful for that.

Bless it be~*~

A truly beautiful and wonderful article! One of the best yet for sure!
You have proven how much potential children have and when not suppressed manifests in truly extraordinarily amazing ways!

This is one of the best gifts you have given not just these children but the world.

As I say in my quite of which I truly believe, Almost all the world’s problems start with parenting, thus the solutions to the world’s problems lie in New Paradigm parenting~*~

I hope to help activate that for parents and children around the world!

What a beautiful insight into your amazing family and respect for your 3 beautiful children. It makes my heart so happy to see free children, growing and evolving with love and encouragement. I remember being a kid and being treated like I wasn't capable, kids are capable of so much more than most people know. Beautiful post.

·

Exactly~

Children are treated as in capable and thus they act that way. These children prove a whole new paradigm of potential is not only possible but quite natural when given the opportunity and even more so when nurtured.

Thank you for the recognition and support. The children are our future and we should be building our life around them instead of forcing them to conform to the fucked up world just because "thats the way the world works"

They really are the happiest, healthiest, smartest, freest, cutest, most innocent, responsible, fun, super capable and super human children I've ever had the honor of playing with! 💗💗😄💗💗
So much love and gratitude for you and your family!!

Thanks for the great info indeed

Agreed~

Happy to share with one who recognized the profound implications~*~

·

I agree we need to teach our kids peace @cryptosteve

·
·

Great mentality! Our ideas about raising children are also much different from the norm. We are only 6 months into our journey but hopefully we see the same results as you have. Kids are as capable as you allow them to be. The are conscious beings who can thrive when given the chance. I really wanted to do EC with my kiddos but doing so felt daunting when we discovered we were having twins! I am inspired to look into it again now. I am learning more about how detrimental CPS can be to families though the stories on @canadian-coconut blog. She is doing a series with # familyprotection and I think sharing your CPS encounters under that tag may be valuable to other steemians. Your parenting style definitely resonates with me and I will be following along as you share your experiences. Thanks :)

·

Thank you and yes I agree.

I am well aware of @canadian-coconut @familyprotection and @markwhitman and yes they are doing great things.

I would like to help that cause a great deal though it is a slippery slope. I have helped a lot of people deal with originations like CPS and would like to do more so publicly. I have been pondering how I could do more of that.

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with! :)

Very cool post! Very inspiring!

·

So wonderful to hear! Thanks for the comment!
SteemOn!

Beautiful! Yes it’s so revolutionary, to treat a child as a sovereign human being instead of property of the parents or the state. How much behavior problems vanish when we simply acknowledge their agency and self-ownership, and encourage rather than coerce. Leading by example and with a strong community of like-minded others is also helpful for this.

Sorry to hear about the haters, but good job in countering their confused anger with some loving psychic jujitsu.

I hope to read more!

·

Thank you!

I hope to share more!

Yes. Glad you have sown and harvested such a bountiful family. You make it sound like it is the easiest thing in the world, with exponential paybacks. Modern families, it seems like parents would rather pay a ton of money to hire an expert to tell them a medical problem for their children's behavior. How do you know which things should stay according to a strict routine, and which things allow for open change for their benefit? Keep up the good work. It is an inspiration to many.

·

Thanks for this comment, it helps stimulate conversation of this very important topic.

I do make it look easy, beautiful and as you say exponentially beneficial. That is my intention. I am grateful that you see that though honestly it is not easy. It requires vigilant attention.

I do believe that in a conscious, empowered and holistic society it COULD BE quite easy but the most difficult part is how fucked up the world is. Government, church, schools, doctors and basically the entire establishment is making it HARD to be a parent and to be a child.

Then what is potentially even worse is that fact that society is also fucked up and has IMO, disastrous methods of living which includes parenting.

I really hope to post a lot more about this topic as like I said it really is the most important topic in life. "For better or worse, we are all subject to parenting"

·
·

Dunno why, but your comments suddenly reminded me of a children's book series by Lloyd Alexander. He wrote The Black Cauldron. About a boy raised by witches, a wizard, and later pig farmer who would take the orphan on as his apprentice. The boy's best friend would be a pig. Every book in the series is a new level of him growing up and meeting foes who would later become new allies. He would selflessly become the greatest at everything he wanted to be, while the rest of the kingdom was doomed to fear a dark lord turning the locals into zombies.

Have a great day Quinn.

·
·
·

Sounds like a very nice story. I have not read it but have heard of "The Black Cauldron"

I have accepted that I won't be the greatest at everything but also realized I can be great at anything.

I strive to focus on that which is truly important in life and to excel every day.

Blessings~*~

Unfortunately I would have been dead 3X over if not for medical intervention at the births of my kids, but other than that the freedom and trust you give your kids makes a lot of sense. I have always found discipline never made any sense to me. My children are generally so well behaved I am complimented on it. Yet I do nothing but trust them to be the people they are. If I had access to more of this information when I was younger, I could have provided even better childhoods for them, so thank you for this blog!

·

Yes hospitals can be beneficial for emergencies though with proper preparation and expertise even most emergencies can be handled naturally or without hospitals.

Of course everyone must do what one must and child birth is very intense.

I am grateful that you and the children are ok and living a happy and responsible life!

Thanks for commenting and sharing!

I adore those kids. What an amazing way to grow up.

·

Yes they are pretty amazing!

Thanks for sharing the love!

I am so inspired by this post! As a homeschooling mother of 3, I cannot tell you how much this topic touches me. I constantly reflect on my own parenting hoping that the decisions I make will ensure that my children have a nurturing environment. One where they can thrive, learn and grow into the best versions of themselves and always feel loved and supported while doing so. This post touched my heart, your children are beautiful and look happy as ever! Keep up the great work you are doing a wonderful job with them from what I can see here. Thank you for sharing your perspective and insight with us!

Thank you for sharing,

I am very glad to know that this post has inspired and touched you. That is my intention. I cannot think of any topic more important especially if you are a new parent.

I hope to continue to provide beneficial support for parents and children and see you around soon!

Thank you so much for sharing this story. I am amazed by "your" children and their abilities. Big up for everything you do. Resteemed abd shared in fb, so more people can realize the advantages of this life style.

I find nothing to be more important than this honestly besides enlightenment, yet when one is enlightened one realizes this as prime importance. The world is messed up but there are infinite solutions for anything. I believe in the power to change and to live an amazing life.

Beautiful post. I can really feel the love and passion you have for your kids. I totally agree that parenting is the foundation of this world and how we grow up to be who we are today. Our parents are our first role models. We learn everything from them, their habits, their likes and dislikes... how they treat relationships, etc.

I'm a labor and delivery nurse and I see how bad patterns repeat itself. It's so nice and refreshing to hear when someone share how important being a parent is. Thank you for sharing!

·

Thank you for commenting. I am grateful for your compliments and support. Yet more so I am glad that you also believe it is of the utmost importance.

It is true that our childhood is what shapes our minds our whole way of life. For better or for worse.

Thus it is of the utmost importance to make the lives children grow up in of the utmost importance!

Hope to see you around again soon.

Wow this was refreshing to read. I do not have (living) children of my own, but have always had strong opinions on parenting as well. I hope you delve deeper into specific topics on parenting techniques etc. I would love to read the articles regularly. I think we could all learn a lot from you. Btw, your family is beautiful.

·

I am glad to hear this. There is nothing that I would like to discuss more than parenting, family, community and living together to truly create a world of our ideals.

Your feedback motivates me to share more about this, so please be in touch, hope to see you around again soon!

I love this article! We have 3 children as well. My husband and I were married previously and he came into the marriage with 3 cats and I had 2 small children when we married in 2012...We tried for a long time and in Nov of 2016 we had Ainge...So now we have a 14 year old son, a 10 year old girl and a very busy 14 month old and we love every minute of it. Our lifestyles and especially my Philosophy on raising children has changed drastically since I had my oldest. I love your post and your family is absolutely lovely. What keeps us young is remembering to be kids ourselves! If I could figure out how to post in here a picture of Ainge...He looks a lot like your little boy...Anyway, Happy parenting and i will be following!

·

Yes!

The children are what we ought to be building our lives around instead of forcing children to conform to the fucked up world.

hahaha yes indeed, no better time than now and nothing more important that living the dream!

I have no kids of my own, but I always got along well with other people´s kids. I think kids look right through you and they know if you are real or fake, and they only like real people.

·

For the most part yes, though I have sen many children very easily bought and bribed.

I've just drop my jaw reading, I am also a parent and willing to be cool as you @quinneaker. Worth to read your post.

·

I hope to inspire and give you faith in the potential of children and a fulfilling, healthy and happy life!

Very nice family. I am definitely "old school" and raised my children in that way. At 81 years of age and now a great grandmother, I applaud my upbringing with strict parents that said what they meant and meant what they said. I believe that expecting your children to excel gives them the spring board to meet your expectations. Provide them with love, a good education and the necessities of life, The family is the glue that holds the world together, in my opinion, and parenting gives us the opportunity to shape the world we want to live in. Thanks for your many contributions to making a better world!

·

Greetings,

Thank you for your comment.

I agree that unless you have high expectations for a child and provide opportunity for greatness they will not be great.

Parents should not be putting their children down, babying them, spoiling them but proving them with real responsibility AND freedom!

This proves the perfect opportunity for greatness!

Hope to see you around again soon!

Nice family 😌

·

haha glad you like it

happiness in the family statue greatness of its own, successful friends

quinneaker!! Thank you, your Post.

·

Your welcome!

@quinneaker as much as I would say this is true I would have to say parents don't always knows best. The believe they're always best wheb they do you wrong you take it against them and that's where all the problwm start. But if you accept they know no better You learn to forgive their shortcomings. There is always an expiration where there molding of you ends when. You make your own choice

·

I think if you read this post or knew who I am that you would realize I am the pinnacle example of having faith in the potential of children while also providing one of the most free and opportunistic environments for children we have ever seen.

This concept is similar to the Montessori School practices. My daughter attended at 18 months and they gave them glass dishes and cups to drink from, kinda like your kids using sharp knives since a young age. I commend your insight and fortitude to raise your kids with real life practice and procedure. Your an amazing dad with gorgeous children. Carry on Sir, your doing great.

Thank you for the compliments and support. I do believe that children have the natural potential to be exceptional and I pride my self in honoring that instead of suppressing it.

Thank you for recognizing it and nurturing it in your life. It is the best thing we can do for this world. Children ought to be what we build our lives around instead of forcing them to conform to ours.

Bless~*~

Quinn, thanks so much for the post. We believe that children can do more than what society say they can do. The family needs to be the strongest core unit and parenting is the driver.

·

Yes, children have great potential the the world hinders if not destroys most of that.

I can't wait to have kids of my own one day when I become financially stable with my girl

·

Yes, do not have children until you are prepared to provide for them an "ideal"life.
Otherwise you are just subjecting them to torture.

Great post. However you can't fault parents when the children they raised turnout to be nuisance to the society and please have your kind properly covered when they are cooking , they can get hurt by the heat.

·

ONLY the parents are at fault.

Would like to be a father someday, I appreciate the time you spent in making this post, hope you make more.

·

I am very glad you read it and appreciated it. I hope it influences a great family for you one day!

Blessings on the way~*~

very nice post. beautiful family.

·

Thank you very much.

You have a funny name btw

hello @quinneaker

i am very happy to have had the chance to find your article in steemit

being myself a mother of one great little boy i found your life experience really inspiring
i also try to consider my child not as MY child like a property or a slave to my will but an independent human being with his own desires

now my baby is 1yearsand4months and i think he'll be alike your girls when he'll grow
indeed a lot of parents tells me how amazed they are that he is so smart and calm etc....

i think it's just beacause he feels listened to. (i hope i make myself understable)

it reallz touched me deep inside when you wrote about the births of your children because mine wasn't easy at all

but now i'm glad that he's a fine young person

we are musicians my husband and me and travelling with our son but now we ant to settle down to live a easier life and more connected like you and you're family

we are new on steemit but i think you might like to read our first article
it's a song we composed and our little one is also in the video
if you want to see what we're like

i'm gonna follow you closely
all the best for you all
you're great

Greetings,

I am also glad you you found me and I hope that I can inspire you and also give you some faith when you may have uncertainty as a mother of young child.

I also believe that truly listening to a child is one of the most important parts of being a "good" parent. When a child is listened to (which means cared for, respected and honored) they will be such individuals.

Be sure to follow @qiqi-power and @noki-power as that is where most of the family/parenting content is.

I will check out your post, wish you great success here on Steemit, its a GREAT place to be musicians.

Yes the most important changes we can make to life being lived by humanity is how children are treated, how they are taught and the environment they grow up in.

Great to know your tuned into the implications~*~

Whatever you do may seem insignificant to you, but it is most important that you do it.

Your welcome!

You have a wonderful family and it's good to see children being off the grid as well. I like it how they know how to fried eggs in an open fire. Very sustainable. I'll follow you and your family. Would love to read more of you.

Thanks for taking the time to comment. I am glad that you found this valuable as I sure do.
With every post I intend to share valuable content that improves the experience of life. There are few if any topics of more importance than parenting as it is where all the problems of the world begin.
Hope to see you around soon.
