Beautiful! Yes it’s so revolutionary, to treat a child as a sovereign human being instead of property of the parents or the state. How much behavior problems vanish when we simply acknowledge their agency and self-ownership, and encourage rather than coerce. Leading by example and with a strong community of like-minded others is also helpful for this.
