LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION - LIFE LESSONS, PRESUPPOSITIONS, & TYPICALLY STEREOTYPICAL
This guy knows his clients!
While travelling through Missouri, I happened upon this gem of a photo op. In Sunrise Beach, MO, there happens to be a Police Station right next to a Donut Shop.... coincidence?
LIFE LESSONS
In real estate, the first three rules are location, location, and location. In order to draw the most business, you need high visibility, and this guy certainly has it!
PRESUPPOSITIONS
My initial thought when I saw these two buildings next to one another was, "This guy sure knows what he's doing!" For a Donut Shop owner to position his shop next door to a police station is #genius!
What other way could you guarantee business on the daily?
But then, I had an interesting thought.... What if I had things backwards?
Which came first, the Police Station or the Donut Shop?
Could it be that there was donut shop before there ever was a police station? I have not researched this out yet, but the possibility exists. Would a city be wise enough to build the police station next to the donut shop? If so, does the mayor own the donut shop?
TYPICALLY STEREOTYPICAL
Either way, I think that it is safe to say, based on this photo, that stereotyping people isn't just for police anymore! (joke)
Whatever jokes or stereotypes may have previously been made about cops and donuts, I've never seen so much evidence for the story being true until I came upon these two buildings.
Haha , steemit like you mean it !! Im a security guard and we also love our coffee and doughnuts !! Here in Canada Timmys aka Tim Hortons is the favorite open 24 hours! and for us like police officers that work around the clock 24/7 and also do mobile patrols , The donut shop is Quick , Open all night , a filling snack for energy , theres coffe to stay awake plus a washroom ! Lol !! All good reasons to eat donuts haha ! 👍heres a photo i took of my Timmies at playoff time , on my way to work last year !
That building looks too "official" to be a donut (or doughnut) shop. I suspect:
Hmmm.... Now you sound like a Detective.... Want a doughnut?
Naw, I don't eat them. Got any dates?
Just one... with @mama-pepper. ... but you can't come.
The ramp is new. It is for the doughnut trucks. When they come the police officers get out of the station, line up, open their mouth and the the sideways tilting truck unloads it's freight.
That is an efficient way to unload!
The best location I have ever seen was the doctor in the middle of two undertakers.
But that is more then a decade back, now it's only an undertaker at the side (1 house between) of a drug store - which opened afaik when the doctor was still there, which is a normal typical location thing.

I wouldn't want to go to that doctor!

LOL.... Americans and their police and donuts joke.
Your police to not fuel their bodies with doughnuts?
No, I think it's an American thing.
Curious enough. So, did a search. Concluded it's been around a long time but as to when? cannot be sure.
