LIVING IN A TRAILER

in #life6 years ago

Yes, mobile homes may not exactly be for everyone, but this one works for us.

In this video, I share a bit about why we are excited to have this mobile home on our property. While talking to someone about it, my wife was met with a person questioning why it is exciting. Simply put, because we actually bought it, we don't have to pay any rent or mortgage payments, which we think is reason for excitement. Anyway, check it out and see what you think.

Whoa, thats cool bro! You can move your house easily whereever you want 😊

That we can! We moved it here after we bought it! Thanks!

Nice house anyway!...:)...

this is the real home

I personally think mobile homes are awesome, and a great way to go if you're into homesteading... because a lot more people can afford to buy one outright and become truly independent, than can afford a stick built home.

Two years ago we bought a double wide. It sits on a small piece of property that we rent for the moment... the house is 1350 square feet and in the next five years we will be moving the house to our property. So the house is paid for.. the property will be paid for in cash... we have about 60 months to continue socking away the money for the property.

As you said, we were able to pay cash for the house. It was made in 2005 so considering all the house out there, it is still fairly new.

We've already gotten some vague pricing on moving the house to the general area we are looking at property and considering what we saved on a mortgage, property taxes now, etc.. the cost to move this home is pretty cheap.

Nice! That's a good way to go!

I really like it Papa. Like you said, no rent, no mortgage, nothing and you own it, so why not? This is smart and economical and you have chalked off $600-$700 as you have suggested. That's something. I understand your excitement and joy or happiness is relative, so if others don't understand the excitement, as long as you do, that's what matters.

When are you taking us on a tour inside? Hahaha.

Good point! I should probably do that.

Yaaaaay!. That would be exciting Papa. Many thanks.

I wonder if its movable?

Why not? Absolutely.

It is. You just put some temporary wheels beneath it.

I meant such a huge once as this one. I remember when i was a kid we used to have them in a kibutz in Israel. But I cant remember if they ever moved them

I always thought this was a great way to go. Get a used mobile home. Put in a well and septic sized for said future home. Build a house when you can. Then you could probably recoup what you paid for the trailer for what you paid.
Win win!
God bless the Peppers!

Ah ... I would do this

Now, will you start building a house or an addition onto your trailer first?
I'll be watching

We don't know, but we will see.

Personally I like your life styles, really your are a great person sir. thanks a lot for sharing.....
