DON'T DISCOURAGE THE CHILDREN

in #life6 years ago

Don't discourage them before they can be a real help.

Taking the time to teach anyone anything can take longer than just doing it yourself, especially when you are teaching children. However, if you want help in the long run, you're best to start early and be consistent.

Around here, we don't have a lot of experience, but we do have a lot of incentive, and we try to be intentional. Even with our smallest children, we try to find ways to let them help when they want to and encourage them to do what they can. This way, they'll actually want to help and still be willing to when they are able.

Awesome post papa-pepper. I made mistakes raising kids. So I can see your not making the ones I did. Stay blessed.

I make mistakes too, but I also try to avoid whatever ones I can see coming. Thanks for you honesty, and your encouragement and support!

I get a second try with the grand kids.

Today our 14 month old put the cheese away in the fridge for us!

Excellent!

Soon, the child will clean the whole table for you while you digest! So glad to hear it!

To be fair, he also took the mustard out while putting the cheese back, but we'll soon have that sorted out.

Also also, and I hope you'll be as happy for us as we are about this, he LOVES spicy foods. He eats with gusto the foods that have sriracha on them.

Great video @papa-pepper! You are the perfect Dad! I got your package today but don't have time to shoot an unboxing video so I will try to make it tomorrow and post it. Glad I could be your 2nd purchase. :-)
Congratulations on baby #6 too. WOW 6 Little Peppers! Maverick is enough for Bridget and I. Especially after having a C-section.

We'll I'm glad you two got that little one! I can't wait to see what you think about the package, and we'll be sending a rainbow hat for Maverick soon enough. Pinkie-Pepper has it in progress..... with a surprise...

Awww Thanks @papa-pepper! We'll have to have Maverick thank Pinkie-Pepper. If you want, you can wait till we have our house warming party to bring it.

Children unlike adults possess good learning abilities, their stage is the right time to cultivate right things in them through education (formal and informal) and like you rightly said @papa-pepper; we’re best to start early and be consistent.

Thanks for such nugget.

Thank you for enjoying it and adding some of your own thoughts! I agree!

I love the enthusiasm in your parenting. Being intentional with your kids is going to not only encourage them to be competent adults, it helps our relationships as parents/children to be so much closer.

There is a very old statement that goes along the lines of,
"You get out what you put in"
the more time and effort you put into training, the better the result you will get out of the pupil/student in the future.
Sometimes, while showing/teaching somebody how to do something, you will suddenly find a better way to do the job as well.

Very good statement to add in! Thanks @len.george!

Wish my brother could watch this.

Send him the video if you want. Glad that you liked it.

I'm sure this is a blessings to those out there that heard this message. Those kids of yours are going to have such a leg up on the "general" population of kids growing up these days! Excellent job!
