Willing Prey
How to make the heart numb?
When you feel like a chaff.
How to project a perfect smile?
After a poignant suffocated cry.
You gave your best to them
But they disregarded you anyway.
And like an imbecile fool
You are still holding on.
Why did you let them ignore your desperate plea?
Why did you become like a giving tree?
They used and left you astray.
Yet ironically, you still want them to stay.
