This Just In: Local Artist @NoNamesLeftToUse Finds Success at Being Awesome Again

Meet Foryerfacious.
My first piece to graduate from shared image file to sold digital media file.

Good Afternoon, Good Morning, Good Day and Good Whatever

When you set your sights on something, just steady yourself and shoot.
This is a success story.

I reached the three hundred follower achievement, kept it quiet. I blabbed my mouth off responding to this ongoing overflow of encouraging words that seems to smack my blog on the daily. Tapped two thousand posts on the butt, kept it quiet. Worked up to the fashionable sixty-eight reputation marker, didn't say a word. Climbed into the top one thousand most valuable Steemit accounts and smiled, quietly. Posting rewards, inching closer to the top three hundred, all time. Worked for it. Didn't miss a day.

It's My First Day (but I start tomorrow)

When I first signed up, I was under the assumption this place was all about writing. I see it's more than that. I also produce a bit of "art". I'm an outsider there as well. I don't have any formal training or influences. Again, it is simply the first thing that comes to mind. I make them all on my laptop. I felt like I was cheating, at first. Someone very close to me at the time said "Damien, is it cheating when someone uses a laptop to write a book?" From there I was at least able to accept the idea that the things I'm making could actually be called art. There may come a day where I actually sell these. Only time will tell.

That was me. A very insecure and overwhelmed version of me, on my first day here. For eight days straight, I wrote rambling walls of text while behind the scenes learning how to operate this funky Steempowered machine. I can admit now, I didn't have a clue. I see people to this day sharing the same struggle. I was not blind to the potential of this platform though.

To my newcomer friends here; I taught myself, you can too. If you want something bad enough, you'll either take the necessary steps to get there, or you won't. It's a choice.

This Steemit Thing is Legit and I'm Proof

That's the achievement I'd like to talk about today. It demonstrates the true power of this platform.

The images I produce and eventually share here exclusively on Steemit are samplers. Yes, they look good on any screen. On the wall is where they truly shine though. To look good there, a different file is required.

I was offered $10, we settled on $15.00. The customer paid before I even had a chance to explain the deposit part of the deal. So $12.50 for a file processed properly to print, without loss, thirty six inches wide by about twenty inches high. The image was also personalized with a special signature and is one-of-a-kind.

Normally, people charge a lot more for the amount of time that went into production as well as processing. I'm not complaining at all though. I feel it was a fair offer and a good deal all around. Plus, I achieved something I set out to do from the very start.

Thank you @dreemit for taking such a keen interest in my work and this wonderful opportunity as well.

The Kickers

Steem Backed Dollars transferred from one Steemit member to another, right here on Steemit.com. I can't be the first, I'm sure it happens often. This platform made the transaction so simple and the proof is there forever, for all to see. The perfect tool for anyone running a business like mine. I believe in transparency and this setup helps keep things honest. The way they should be.

An independent outsider digital artist selling art without a middleman anywhere in sight and no overhead. That's almost unheard of, but I did it.

In only four short months, Steemit has been the vehicle that helped me go from being a virtual nobody to an accomplished writer, artist, entertainer and now, I see success in business.

The only limits here are the ones we place on ourselves. I tend to skip that unnecessary step.

Thanks again to everyone from the bottom to the top and every place in between. I enjoyed sharing this message today.

Thanks for making success so damn easy.

I should not be up right now, ha, apparently I was meant to see this :) I'm a little flustered at being part of the focus here, damn, I can't think of anything to say, what do I do? Oh yeah, the Art I bought is AWESOME, I got an amazing deal, (for being such a terrific steemit friend I'm assuming) Can't wait to get the right frame and hang it on my wall ;)

I hope everything works out for you. And like I said, if there are any problems with the file format or if you need something different, just let me know and I'll make it work.
Thanks again and make sure you take a picture of it and show me!

When it's ready, I will take pictures and show everyone ;)

Awesome! Hopefully that leads to a nice discount.

Thats awesome ! Congratulations !😉👍

Thanks a lot @karenmckersie. It's a good feeling. I'm glad to be a part of this entire thing we have going for us here.

Yes ! You and me both ! I never get bored now on my 10 hr. Security Graveyard shifts lol ! Steeming to the moon and back ! Yippee !😉👍

Congratulations on your first sale! I'm glad you two got something figured out for a signed art piece. It's amazing to me how consistent you have been in posting your art every single day. And I've enjoyed seeing you come into your own, from your early posts and trying to figure out how to make this platform uniquely you. Here's to looking back a year from now - who knows where this will go for you!

Who knows! I'll just keep doing what I do. I've slowed down recently though. Busy juggling life, producing, writing. It's hard to find the time. I've been working on more detailed work lately as well which of course takes even more time. I've a few loose ends to tie up before I release again.

I know how that goes, with other things demanding the time! :O

I don't normally laugh so hard at my own jokes. The headline... I can't even look at that without laughing. I just thought I'd share that. I get a kick out of me sometimes.

Picturing you laughing at your own joke is making me laugh at you laughing at your own joke.....

That comment is what lack of sleep gets me. So is that poem...I saw your vote and thank you for that, but did you read it? Weirdly I gained two followers over it. Normally I post book chapters, which I don't expect you to read, but this one, well I'd appreciate it. Throw in your two cents if you got any ;)

I read it. I try to stay out of American politics unless I'm writing a joke that involves hysteria. It was a good poem with a strong message.

As for my comment about my headline up there... I laugh at myself for writing something like that. Then I think about those who avoided this article because of the tone they placed within their minds. I can hear something like, "Well just who does he think he is!"... and for some twisted reason that just brings a smile to my face. Talking about being quiet and modest about achievements while clearly bragging myself up at the same time. I must sound totally nuts...

Okay you're right, that is fucking funny. Arrogance and humility is a strange combination.

I was going to tag this as funny as well, but I didn't think anyone would get that part unless I explain it. I find it very humorous when people act stuck up, so, to entertain myself, I included a few lines that make me appear that way. It was 3 am, I was on coffee, I wanted to make this interesting. Now I feel like a moron and I'm totally fine with that.

No, don't feel like a moron, what? It's part of your charm. It's not the first time, and I doubt it will be the last, I mean it didn't even phase me so, what does that tell you? LOL
