RE: Influencers With 1M Followers Join APPICS | Introducing new Users, Updates & More 💙

in #life5 years ago (edited)

So you get a load accounts for pretty girls. Can I ask what content they are creating exactly? Are they going to engage with their commenters?

Eg joythailia...is she actually posting her own stuff or are you taking a cut for running her account? Did she genuinely type 'thanks' in answer to a comment or was that you ?

In all honesty, it's like we've gone back in time to 1975 and as for all the guys supporting this crap....

Great App , disgusting application and no transparency and I seriously hope @steemcleaners push to get these accounts properly verified and not make exceptions

Hello @nathen007
All of these girls are posting their own content and we do not run their accounts. APPICS is currently onboarding new users which means we are inviting them to the app - and that´s it. They set up their accounts on their own, they choose the content they would like to post and it´s also up to them if they respond to comments or not.
I´ve already made a statement post explaining the verification issue, proving that all Ladies are real and in full control of their accounts and I invited them to APPICS personally via Instagram. Please feel free to check out the post right here -> https://steemit.com/steemit/@soldier/statement

I was welcomed in a much better way when I first joined steemit.

But unfortunately, most of these girls were greeted with skepticism or people attacking them - just because they’re female and post pretty pictures, which is totally up to them.
I really hope we can support the people who come from outside the crypto space and introduce them to this new technology with a warm welcome!

The support will be there.. don't give up @soldier. I support you 😘♥️

You’re right. Verification is in order.

Well Instagram is so saturated with the same content and now organic reach on the app is going to zero people are going to look for alternatives. While I'm not a fan of this lowest form of content it does bring people in. Social media has traditionally been quantity over quality, we might flood the blockchain with people and hopefully some will stay

I don't think theres a right or wrong approach at this point

Instagram content just sucks.

Now instagrammers, who are just superficial come here and think they can post some posing pictures showing their nice body, boobs and life to then be rewarded for their beautifulness. :)

What value does one place on a self-indulgent selfie with 5 words? $1? $2? $10? $50? I can't wait to see. Lol

Lol they were more than happy to do it for free or rather for likes and social validation. Slap some ads in between it and bring in some money into this blockchain. I think the content is useless but a pageviews arent lol

LOL well only the ones who failed at getting anything out of Instagram would decide to switch so we're getting the scraps of those who want to be rewarded for their beautifulness

Yeah, looks to me like this is more of a dporn thing.

No this is just wrong, awarding people for beauty over content. That's definitely a dporn thing, send them over there.

Well these users won't necessarily be earning steem they would be earning appics token. What they do with that is completely up to them. Appics just seems to be leveraging this blockchain

That doesn't appear to be the concerns of comments listed above, they seems to be under the impression these women will be earning steem.

Well they're running on STEEM and EOS so far and you can trade your Appics on steem engine and another EOS exchange. They still need their own way of making money. If they can build their own insta hybrid for these users to monetize and bring in advertisers I say go for it.

We've already seen steempshot try and fail and deegram has been taking ages to launch.

I don't use Instagram myself I think its a shit tool but others disagree. I'd rather give appics the benefit of the doubt and if they succeed my steem price goes up if they fail oh well we move on

What I find funny is that all these girls are getting upvoted and praised for joining appics but they not producing content apart from a picture and a line and if I did that I’d get nothing and if I bid botted it I’d get nailed

This other dude started a tribe and called for good looking girls to promote it and he got nailed for it

But appics is different for some reason I don’t know who makes up the rules lol

Exactly, even if given the benefit of the doubt, which the one video of the Joy person is pretty obvious she is a fake, the content is way objectionable given that everyone else who has produced such lacking content has been basically slaughtered for doing the exact same thing since the last hardfolk. That in itself shouldn't be allowed to stand.

"Over there" is "over here". Appics is even more "over there" than DPorn is. All you have to do is not support it, and be happy.

Would you like to try and explain that again?

She just made 16 bucks for a picture and a short video....and to tell you the truth I think you may be being hoodwinked by some creative Koreans who invested heavily in steem from a post I seen on the market today using some hi tech sex dolls to make a fortune off steem.

  1. DPorn don't have their own app. They're a tribe sitting directly on Steem. So there is no "over there". That's my point.

  2. No she didnt make 16 bucks.. more like 5 to 6 bucks after theSteem proposal thing, her curators and appics take their cut.

  3. Even if she made 16 bucks, so what?

Shit, I think I upvoted a robotic doll with one of my tribe accounts :(

He who laughs first laughs last. I am not done. I can't move forward until I finish it and I intend to.

@soldier has engaged in comment spam in the past. It's on the blockchain, folks.

At this point, I have no reason to trust the authenticity of those accounts because I already have a reason to doubt their integrity. I attempted to request verification and was flagged by some random Nigerian Prince. (Because that's not subtle at all.)

At this point, think there is cause to be suspicious. Another possible concern, what if they pay influencers that are more or less apathetic about Steem to just use their persona for $$$?

That sort of would become apparent eventually if the more scrupulous Steemians put pressure.
