A Breakdown of IQ Scores

The average score on an IQ test is 100. Sixty-eight percent of IQ scores fall within one standard deviation of the mean. So that means that the majority of people have an IQ score between 85 and 115.

1 to 24 - Profound mental disability
25 to 39 - Severe mental disability
40 to 54 - Moderate mental disability
55 to 69 - Mild mental disability
70 to 84 - Borderline mental disability
85 to 114 - Average intelligence
115 to 129 - Above average; bright
130 to 144 - Moderately gifted
145 to 159 - Highly gifted
160 to 179 - Exceptionally gifted
180 and up - Profoundly gifted

Note that there are, or at least used to be, different scales, with different standard deviations, yielding different numbers, and current Wechsler tests only give Full Scale IQs between 40 and 160.
Anyway, IQ tests are very good at measuring how well you do on IQ tests 8-).

The problem is that IQ testing doesn't paint the full picture of a person's intelligence; the Wechsler test and the Stanford-Binet Intelligence Scales are both commonly used to score IQ rate on a scale of around 70 to around 165.

IQ–tests doesn't picture intelligence at all. Every test only pictures, what the publisher of a test expects from his subjects. You can write books about the theme but my first sentence said it all. IQ–Tests are just ignominious.
I cherish your postings very much and you know, you are one my most voted persons on Steemit but I never would tell you any of my secrets, because they would not be secrets anymore if I start to tell about. I think, your IQ-tests are covering the quite proper understanding of this issue as well.

Ha ha! Thanks for all your upvotes @afrog - I know your not a chicken! Keep them secrets internalised my friend :D

#1. I have no idea what my I.Q is and I'm really not concerned with what it is. I don't know why...I just am not. #2. I really do wish I could talk to animals. I wish it everyday.

I don't know if you saw the movie the Golden Compass? I was so jealous of the animal daemons they had. Life goals.....

Yes, the movie with Nicole Kidman?? I remember the daemons :D

Correct Everitt :)

Stay tuned for more clever questions ;)

I am moderately gifted🤓

... but highly gifted in other ways ... like EQ etc :)

I'd be a friggen genius if it weren't for my awful education, especially maths....getting made fun of and beaten I developed phobias for tests....eq qualities were hard won! What's your score @mindhunter?

On average, females score higher than males on EQ, but I've never tested it. Maybe that is something I need to look into :)

I've never tested on eq....living this life is the greatest test, very easy to die, very hard to live a good life🌟

SQ (Social quotient) is another recent one I've heard about too. Yet more madness and absurdity!

I learned to stand in the middle of chaos and madness, the edges are hellish😈

I love your turns of phrase @reddust - we've Steemed a long road together at reputation 68 :))

I feel like this is another post seeking to troll for information out of certain users rather than anything else, so no I will not reveal anything about myself or my IQ test scores (dang did I just tell you I took IQ tests, or did I troll your troll, one thing is for sure: you will never know)

One cannot never put ones heart on the chopping block for fear of trolls. That is a life half lived and you know it @baah Sometimes your comments are like a piece of indigestible nougat!! [Now there is a troll comment for ya old friend ;)]

Arguably this definition of troll is rarely ever used, but it's spot on for my comment:

verb: troll; 3rd person present: trolls; past tense: trolled; past participle: trolled; gerund or present participle: trolling

  1. informal
make a deliberately offensive or provocative online post with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them.
  2. fish by trailing a baited line along behind a boat.
    "we trolled for mackerel"

Or our old bear baiting ... fill the barrel attached to a tree with meat and just wait for the bear to appear and shoot from your hide. Cowardly! Barbaric!!

I would never waste good meat on an old bear, I'd rather pick up his solitary trail and follow him into his den where we can cuddle.

That's the spirit @baah ... he might even have some honey for you in that den of his :)

Honey? I'm a leather kinda guy
