Double Chin and Nebula Beers!
Spank my banjano and call me Charlie, it's Saturday again. Beer time!! It feels like it has been a long week and what better way to recover from a week of drudgery than a belly full of yeasty gumbo!
So in the words of Barney Rubble, let's get honking!
Beavertown is back at it again, rocking up their cans with the wild skulls! Just look at the detail on this little beauty. It floats my boat for sure!
This double IPA was created to celebrate their fourth birthday only recently. What a splendid idea. I quite like the original Neck Oil which I briefly mentioned in what was I think my first beer post.
Let's see how this one does.
Ah, look at that golden lion of a beer. A pale but enticing gold like a robber peeing on his mistress after a particularly successful bank heist!
I have a good feeling about this one. I try it, It's citrus'y and light but with a bitter hop snarl to it. It has a long-lasting finish which I like from a good IPA. A slight medicinal pine flavour to it which twitches the tongue.
Definitely one to be having up the park in the sun shouting at the young scamps for playing football to close to your picnic blanket.
Makes me feel all pirate'y... AHOY!
Splendid, I will be flinging a pleasing 8/10 booms up the mainbrace of this one.
So, once I unscrew my pirate leg and put my cutlass to the side, what is next?
This one describes itself as a Hazy IPA with breakfast juice drinkability. Well, Mr Wild Beer company. We will see about that.
It looks a bit wan, a bit pale and lacklustre. Almost as if it is lying in the field hospital and the doctor has just told it that there's no chance and the leg is going to come off.
It is not instilling me with the greatest of confidence but like any beer-o-naut I am happy to dive into the deep and take one for the team.
Here goes.
Well, yes. It is a bit like grapefruit. As a mild slightly tangy juice that is not very nice, that might be ok. However, as a beer, it just comes across as a bit mild and sickly with no character or beeriness about it.
Boo, a lowly 3/10 booms. And that only for the funky can and the false promises it whispered in my ear.
Well, a poor end but a great start!!
Don't worry, I have plenty good beer in the fridge and I am about to show it a good time!
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
Cheers!
To be honest, when I saw the skull on the first can and so devilish deer on the second, I didn't like them at all...Last time were Rockets and the cans looked really cool...🤡🤡🤡
I thought the skull was really funky!! hehe
Dont worry, next week I have some non skull/develish designs in mind :OD
love the gif showing the detail on that first can 👌

It's a great can eh! I love hteir designs!
Bahahahaha.. I love Saturday beer day!! The first beer sounds amazing. I wish I could easily get the beers you have been sharing. Next time you get a dud like that second beer you should show a video of you crushing the can. Lol

Today I found a fun one to try.
Who wouldn’t want to try a Juicy Ass. Lol
HA! Look at the state of that! It looks mental but awesome too! YOu tried it? Yo uwill have to let us know if its good. Juicy ass indeed LOL!
Not yet. Gotta get home and put it in the fridge. I’ll uodate you as soon as I drink it tonight.
Toperoo! Look forward to it!
Just finished the “Juicy Ass” IPA. It was quite good. It had a strong hoppy flavour and was bitter but that’s to be expected in a good strong IPA. I’d certainly drink that “Juicy Ass” again! Lol
Sounds magic. You must be all assed out!
A "plump and unfiltered" one, too! LMAO! :D
It got everything going for it hehe!
LOL!
I do not know how you do it, but every week you surprise us with new products, the first one reminded me of the skulls that we made to our friend @opheliafu. As for the second one, I think it must be one of the worst you've tried.
Thank you very much for sharing all this information, week by week we learn something new about beers.
I wish you a beautiful night dear friend @meesterboom
@opheliafu's skulls are amazing and yes it has always reminded me of them! Sometimes I strike it lucky when it looking! Have a good evening mate!
It always makes my day to see a clip of you me boom! Love that beaver can, haha!

Just got back from a baby shower, and this generation does it right- both guys and beer are included ;) Played some Pin the Sperm on the Egg- fertilize to win a prize (I didn't win, I think I hit her in the leg hee) But I did get a prize anyway for being my helpful self:
Eh, it's too dark to read, it says "Beware Baby Making Potion Inside Congratulations In Advance" A coke and a little bottle of rum, lol!!
Baby making potion indeed!! hehe.
That sounds like one awesome baby shower, I like it when things like that are outwith the norm. I am getting quite fond if this little video malarkey!
Well, the "Double Chin" saved the night of Saturday with that 8/10 ... and the truth it has a nice and striking design ...but, why a skull head bouncing foam through the cavities of the eyes and the mouth? It's like to run away; well, but your tasting test indicates that it is good; That's enough already for me, although we'll see how you get up tomorrow.

Meanwhile, I'm going to drink my Venezuelan beer:
It's good!
Cheers!
Greetings @meesterboom
That looks splendid!! I hope you have a good evening and enjoy!!
I like grapefruit! Well, maybe not as they come in nature, but the ones that have been bred to be all pink and luscious inside. But I imagine they do something very nasty to a beer.
Hehe, the pink ones are not bad, those yellow ones of nastiness are right bitter sour!
Lol oh dear look at this very fine can of bear, such a beauty, and no im not talking about the grapefruit tasting one, im saying the double chin, double neck one, soo attractive. If you give it a 8/10 i give it 9.5 lol. Have a great weekend too boom
Cheers! Iwill indeed and I hope you do too! It is a fine looking can, If only I could unroll it and put it in a frame!
You should organize a Meesterboom Beer festival. 1st-time visitor. @deliberator suggested a follow to you.
Hhaha, if I organised it people might expect me to buy all the beers!
And that was nice of him!
Lol have an admission fee 4 crates of beer :) Then charge a pound a can. You would have people paying to drink their own beer ;) You would need that to cover clean up costs and portaloos.
It would take some organising, From your blog, I think those who went would more go to meet and spend time with you, Might be a bit of an ambitious project, But the initial thought was funny in my head
HAhaha, it is a funny thought. I am a tad lazy so might not work out well heheh!
Sup, an ocean of love and endless beer to you! Have a super powerful weekend :D
Yas indeed and the very same to you!!
