Gaslighting Gas Bag
Trump is at it again. He gave an interview to the The Sun, wherein he said many disparaging things about Theresa May, the UK, the EU, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. But, when confronted with his words in the light of day, he boldly denied saying most of it, using his favorite label for anything he doesn't like, calling it "Fake News". He is still sticking to his story, despite there being a video recording of it.

Trump is continuing his long, venerated strategy of "gaslighting", which is defined as a manipulative strategy wherein the manipulator uses several tactics to mind bend others. It is an insipid strategy, a favorite of the criminal mentality. According to Psychology Today, here are the most common gaslighter's tactics:
- They tell blatant lies
- They deny they ever said something, even though there is proof that they did.
- They use what is near and dear to you as ammunition against you.
- They wear you down over time.
- Their actions do not match their words.
- They sometimes throw in positive reinforcement in order to confuse you.
- They understand how confusion weakens people.
- They project and transfer what they say, do, think and feel onto others.
- They try to align other people against you.
- They call YOU crazy and/or tell others that you are crazy.
- They tell you that everyone else is lying, not them. They are the only truthful ones.
I think Trump hits about 90% of these, just in his "apology" to Prime Minister May for the things he said, but didn't say, because they didn't report all of the things that he said, or didn't say, but wanted to say, which he may provide proof of, sometime, at a later date in the future. Maybe.
This is our president. This is our reality. Gawd bless Murika.

Greetings @ matthias-green, I do not consider myself politilogo, but this Mr. Trump apparently takes very lightly the fact of being president and does not take care of his behavior or we think that he does it consciously for the fact of being a tycoon or multi-millionaire, for Therefore, it is difficult to believe that he cares to offend whomever he thinks, which is why it would be interesting for the US system to consider more seriously the mechanisms to elect its representatives and evaluate their candidates in the middle of that process. doubt that this president will go down in history as one of the most offensive and obscure of US policy. Possibly for him, being president is just a whim.
Saludos @matthias-green, no me considero politilogo, pero este señor Trump al parecer toma muy a la ligera el hecho de ser presidente y no cuida su comportamiento o pensemos que lo hace concientemente por el hecho de ser un magnate o multi millorario, por lo tanto es dificil creer que le importa ofender a quien le parezca, es por lo que seria interesante que el sistema de los EEUU considerara con mas seriedad los mecanismos para elegir a sus representantes y evaluar a sus candidatos en medio de ese proceso, no cabe duda que este presidente pasara a la historia como uno de los mas ofensivos y oscuros de la politica de los EEUU. Posiblemente para èl, ser presidente es solo un capricho.
