Rainy, damp and overcast... We have a saying - " If You do not like the weather in St. Petersburg, then wait a few minutes and it will change." This is really so, because during the day these gray sad clouds are running in different directions to show us that there, far above, there is a bright sun and that we do not forget that it's still summer. So there's nothing you can do about it ... this is our capricious climate.
Therefore, in order not to wander through the wet streets , we decided to go to a large hangar, where the interactive show "Route 66" to see a rare collection of cars produced in America in 1940-1970.
I am a big fan of American cars and try to attend various auto shows and festivals of retro technology,where there are such models of the American automotive industry. Therefore, for me it was another good opportunity to see rare exhibits.
When we went inside this huge hangar ,it became clear that we will have fun.
The whole area was divided into several thematic areas where the main characters were cars models which were familiar to us in many legendary action movies. American classic.
For example, we saw a little-known AMC Matador, which looked very entourage, match one of the most prominent villains of comics.
Of course it was interesting to see how it looks from the inside.
So was presented car Ashley James "Ash" from the film "Evil dead"
This is how we saw the atmosphere of Chicago in the 30s. This is Dodge,which was especially popular with the "bootleggers"
This Mercury Cougar car was especially popular with hooligans in the late 60s. He had a powerful engine that allows you to drive at high speed on the route 66.
Of course, I couldn't help but take this opportunity to test this patrol car, imagining what it would look like to chase these road hooligans.
We passed from one site to another to feel like Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, who rushes on his SUV in search of the lost ark, or any other characters of famous movies.
In each car you could listen to a recognizable melody that recreates the atmosphere of a particular movie or that time.
Some of these cars were brought to us in the Soviet era, but the collection is constantly updated with new exhibits. It is noteworthy that here you can hold parties , photo shoots or shoot videos.
We noticed that in the corner there is a small bar, but unfortunately it was not open today. So we decided to go and have coffee somewhere nearby. This is where I say goodbye to all of You today. I'll see you soon...

What a fun day! I would love to see an exhibit like that. We have the same saying about our weather here in Oregon. It changes quickly and frequently. You found the perfect way to deal with the rain!

It is very difficult to keep abreast of all the cultural events and interesting activities, but I keep a list of places to visit :) , this is in case when it rains or strong winds from the Baltic sea and there is no way to walk the streets.

Very amazing show of the ancient American cars! It would be much exciting to walk among these cars with that atmosphere, especially with the one from the film "Evil dead".....
