you are funny. in many ways i agree with what you are saying. I'm personally big on word framing though.
to frame what you say as 'the truth' i straight out say is inaccurate. It is your truth about dtube and these peeps with boring vids.
and so i end saying you made me laugh, and while folks with mind numbing vids can suck a dick, you too can suck a dick and im currently choking on a fat one.
lets all suck a dick and lay around in piles of our own pointless excrement.

Sounds good. I will see if I can get ahold of my co-worker Mrs. Chokesondicks mkay.

See my people are funny.

Hey, everyone has those days. LOL

Ohh Ya my son is having one today lol

This was the most real video iv'e ever watched on DTube, Although it's not that positive but at least the guy speaks his opinion.

He was right... You and your videos are in the minority :)

Haha cheers man! :)

I agree. We all have our own realities, and we all have the right to share it, as we see it.
In my reality, he speaks some shared observations, how ever, he is viewing them, from a place of pain.
Being able to express your reality though, without fear of judgement, allows one to be more multi-optioned, in choosing their realities.
Agree, or disagree, is another false dichotomy.
Peace.

I saw some of spin-off videos. You know, the ones where they chop up your video and make a comedy piece. I enjoyed those. Came here to get the full context.

That wasn't so bad. You're just being honest, right? That's how you feel. I'm Canadian so nothing you said was offensive to me. You basically pulled a Simon Cowell with a few fucks thrown in. Whatever, I'm sure everyone will get over it.

Sometimes I think many here (Steemit, Dtube, wherever) get too caught up in their public figure personas. Always so perfect for the camera or the comment section, which is normal in the entertainment industry. Maybe some forget it's not real. They become their characters. Shiny, perfect, say the right thing. Not all, but it happens. The world wants to be protected these days. Certain forms of honesty are now misinterpreted as bullying. People don't like to be told they're not perfect. It's a tough pill to swallow.

I don't necessarily agree with everything you said here; most of it, I don't really give a fuck. I can still respect it though. You sat down and spoke your mind. Nothing wrong with that.

I tried experimenting with D-Tube in the past and found it completely unreliable. Not to mention that brand awareness of the platform is non-existent; it has no chance of ever replacing mainstream services while it continues to be unreliable and still lacks a userbase, applications for other devices and so on. Maybe I’m missing the point to an extent, but that’s my feelings on the subject. While I may hope that DTube can come good one day, there is still a lot of work to be done.

Most services based on Steemit won’t have a real future if they can only appeal to a few crypto-nerds with excessive amounts of faith in the platform; especially those that are probably unemployable in the outside world. It needs to challenge Twitter, Facebook and YouTube head on; otherwise it will just become an incestuous little ‘community’ that offers no value for anybody.

I also believe that many people don’t ever read content or watch videos, they just want to be rewarded a share of the upvote payouts or get an upvote themselves. Many people were definitely gaming Steemit for the sake of even smaller amounts than you mentioned; especially third world users that plagiarised content on a regular basis.

Anyway, I’m pleased to see that you would dare to voice your true views on the matter, unlike many others that seem to only ever praise everything on Steemit for fear of reprisals. I’ve even quoted your post in my latest piece that attempts to be a little more positive, yet takes into account problems facing the platform - https://busy.org/@strayenglishman/reasons-to-feel-optimistic-about-steem

I get what your saying. I guess most people are shocked about is the way your saying it. I'll say just this. Some people are sick and cant leave. Some people are disabled. Your quite harsh you know. So I take it you'll be leaving the platform? You seemed to have a bunch of videos, upvotes. You are pretty active. You give a *fuck because your talking about it. I get it. I do. But a lot are starting out.again, you dont care. I get it. Just some perspective. I hope you can find it in your heart to consider taking a bad, and turn it into good. Be the person that will change all this, not go off on a couch only, rant like the rest of the videos your complaining about. I think you have a nice easy listening voice, I think that you're probably a nice person that's just frustrated. I bench all the time about there not being enough things to watch. But that's why there's this Renaissance and a movement going. That's why we have people like @nathanmars Trying to enrich the Dtube community and Get people to start being more original with content. You should be the change you want to see. And you've got a lot of power and influence behind your voice, the way you do your videos why not use it for the good? Just a thought. I hope you reconsider and give the platform and its creators a chance to grow. You could be part of that growth and #bethechangeyouwanttosee 💛 I hope your having better days.

Bro, Send you a small gift to play this Dtube game for 90 days!

Thank you so much brother

You deserve it brother!

Enjoy your weekend :)

Take this platform with a HUGE grain of salt, like almost any other platform, social media is designed to be toxic. I'm not too bothered by what anyone does or doesn't do in the online world.

Its real life that matters, and that may not always translate online very well.

Do what you really like to do, as long as its not harming anyone else, its all good.

I do agree with your assessment of dnews, as you say, his actions don't match his words, as for the other users you mention, I don't follow them. I don't have time to watch people that I am unlikely to relate to in real life.

Keep it real, something about living in the land of copycats and fake everything tends to keep us sharp and cynical.

Keep it real, something about living in the land of copycats and fake everything tends to keep us sharp and cynical.

I love this. You know exactly how it is. The land of copycats and fake everything can either make you become the fakest you can possibly be, or help you to become as real as possible.

Based on the reaction of everyone so far......

I'm quite astonished how civilized everyone has been, even though not everyone agrees with everything you say, it sure has generated some food for thought about the motivation behind creating content.

I've stopped posting to dtube and dlive. I use IPFS to host my content as I did before I joined steemit, its more stable, and far less likely to be manipulated in some way.

I totally understand if you've had it with this platform, it can be a total waste of time, more often than not, even just from a purely technical perspective, many old posts are broken, with no way to fix them.

Be well.
