Get Fired From Your Job NOW!

Just tell your Supervisor to *&$# off! Okay!?
So if they don't fire you, quit right now!

We live in a strange world right now. And it gets more and more strange.
Mcdonald's employees are being replaced by machines, And High School students are looking to get their first job, are struggling to do so.
More and more "Millenials" are worried about the lack of satisfying work they are getting from their job. And many of us are being left unfulfilled.
So many of us want to make a "difference."
But people don't realize something important...
Not all of us can make the next Amazon. Not All of us can cure cancer.
But EVERYONE makes a difference, As long as you CONTRIBUTE!
Every day I get a package, I'm grateful for those employees that made it happen. After working at UPS. You'd be amazed by how much goes into getting your package delivered. Without them, we couldn't get stuff shipped to us. I don't know about you, But UPS, FedEx, and USPS save me hundreds if not thousands of hours every year! Because I don't have to bike to the stores to get the items I need. I don't have to bike home with a 50lb bag of Rabbit food. Or last minute grocery items.

I'm grateful for all the janitors who make a HUGE difference, By disinfecting and cleaning our public places. Without them, we would get so sick!

I'm not sure why, But so many of us don't feel fulfilled at our jobs, and we beat ourselves up when we don't have that fulfillment.

GET FIRED

I always hated working with others who hated the job. It's like, "Why are you even here." And they'd always reply it's for the money...
It's for the money....
It's for the money....

Yeah, That doesn't sound right...
You are only doing YOURSELF a favor when you stay at a job you hate. Why make your supervisor, Your company, And That potential next employee suffer.
Just quit. Or hopefully, you'll get fired.

What are the benefits of leaving your job now?

You Can Do What You Are Passionate About

We have more opportunities now than ever to follow what we are passionate about. We can start our businesses so little money. We can go into almost any field and make massive profits. People don't realize how lucky we are, And how good of time we are in right now.
If you get in now, You'll already be ahead of the game when other people get involved.

You can see what it's like to be completely independent

This is something I learned when I became self-employed. The freedom comes at a big cost.
You have to rely on yourself 100% for your paycheck.
This may not mean much; You still have to work those hours to get that pay. But when your self-employed there is a whole new dimension to it. You have to figure your ways to make money, invest the time, effort and resources into it and hope it makes enough money for you to survive.
It's amazing how resourceful you become.

You are your only limitation

Being at a job can limit you a lot. I constantly ran into problems, Concerts, and events I wanted to go to, I couldn't because I couldn't' get the day off.
If I wanted to go on vacation, Again I couldn't. Not only did my employer dictate how much I was making, But it also dictated when I could miss work. They dictated all of my time and entire schedule. When you are self-employed that decision is up to you, how much work you can output, How much money you make is determined by you, If you don't have enough time. You can hire people to help. Sadly I couldn't "Outsource" my UPS job. To Someone for a predetermined hourly wage. It sadly didn't work like that.
But I can outsource the rest of my stuff so I can build up passive income sources faster.

Soon There Won't Be Many Jobs left

If you are familiar with James Altuchers work, He says some pretty scary stuff about the future job market.
According to him, you will have two choices.

  • Freelancing
  • Entrepreneurship.
This is something that you should think about now.
As more and more jobs are replaced by automation. Many jobs aren't safe. I was just reading yesterday about USPS struggling to stay afloat because of UPS And FedEx. IF USPS were to go down, A lot of jobs would be lost, UPS carrying the extra volume would probably be easy for them. Also, many people aren't using USPS for smaller mail as much anymore.

Conclusion

Things are changing fast! And we have decisions to make. If you recently lost your job be grateful that you can start this self-employment thing sooner! It may end up paying off a lot more than you would expect in the long run.

Sort:

Yeah, I resigned from my teaching job in June.

I'm looking, but currently with Steemit and other income streams, I making what I made as a teacher. So consequently, I don't need to take any job, or even a job at the moment.

What's interesting is that other people need you to have a job in order to define you. He's a teacher, policeman, mailman, whatever.

Self-employed from the internet?

No that's just crazy talk.

Right? I love that you mentioned that our careers often define us! and it's 100% true. That is one of the reasons I tried to hurry and leave before I had a good "career" name, I was afraid on letting that go. lOL.

I am reading this post at a very interesting time in my career. I am not so sure I will try to get fired on Monday but I think it's time to make a few things happen.

Yeaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

OMG THAT cat XD cats are so awesome.

Check out the pic from my latest post...you'll just love it!

Aww did you try and start your own business?

Hey @kaylinart. would you see inbox on fb, i send you a message.

I'll check it shortly :)

Oh wow, I connect with this topic and your perspective SO HARD.

I am one of the Millenials who puts job satisfaction and fulfillment high on my list of necessary items... And I spent much of my 20's deciding to make little or no money and figure out how to live low-cost happily, because I was spending my time doing amazing things and I wasn't interested in sacrificing my liberty for more cash...

I'm grateful for those experiences, and now I'm ready to figure out a way to sefl-direct my time and energy in a way that proves highly lucrative. I'm not allergic to working hard, I might even be a borderline work-a-holic, I just have to be investing my time in something I really believe in.

I'm super grateful for every person working hard in a position that helps me and the folks around me be able to live the life we are living, as long as no one (including the environment) is being harmed in the process.... The idea of large scale automation is intimidating, and I find myself hoping that the trade off is more environmentally sound industrial practices, and more people given the opportunity to pursue what it is they actual want to spend their time doing.

I'm brand new here on Steem, and super glad I found your post! Keep churnign them out! The awesome seals at the bottom make it look like you're enjoying yourself . ;)

Funny story, I wrote about the day I left my last job and went full time on steemit and investing, but I never said specifically how I left my job. I basically just wrote posts by hand for a month doing absolutely nothing until they finally fired me. I knew they wouldn't give me my sick pay or vacation pay that I had saved up, so I figured I would even it out the only way I could. I went to work and did nothing until they fired me, which took about a month. Best decision of my life.

WOW!!! That is brilliant! You should do that. They just didn't let you use it? That is so messed up especially when you saved it.

I was working for a "not for profit" hospital that took over after the governor cut funding to the charity health system we had. They were many things, but the "not for profit" was kind of an illusion. They just constantly bought real estate all over the state with the astronomical profits. They underpaid all of their employees and made it very difficult to actually use your benefits. I basically told my employees if they want a day off just don't come in and call in sick. I can't work for these fake mega corporations that just use people any more. Thus I work for myself and steemit. :)

@clayboyn Thanks for sharing your story. When you shred that about you switching to steem full time I really connected with it. I will work harder to support people like you who are trying to make this new transition and add value in new ways that they never would have been able to years ago. I hope I can be a part of your success hear on steem.
Best,
Isaac

Thanks! We're all on a journey of self discovery, I just try to share mine openly and with a lot of poetry! :)

Very good advice .Jobs are being replaced by automation and robots. Better quit before getting fired and not sure what to do

Wish I actually had a job I could get fired from...

@fisch, you have a government job?

the only way people seem to get out of that gig is to be on the death bed or in trouble with the law. ;)

I would LOVE to do this but with age comes more responsibility.

Ok, I have to stop reading your posts. I relate far to much to them and I need to keep focusing on my own productivity. lol.

I couldn't have said this better myself!

I just quit my job for all the same reasons you state here. Less than 5 days later found steemit. hmmm...

Anyway, I'm going to do my best to keep up on your posts. I love what you have to say and it's nice to see someone that gets it for a change.
