๐ฑ For some of us , in certain stages or circumstances that may arise in our life , are truly HAPPY TO BE SINGLE !! And this is the case with 2 of my friends and both of my sons ! This certainly holds true when your carreer is very demanding and your never home or you may be relocateing , or traveling alot ! In most cases this is just too hard on relationships , and its just not fiesable to settle down yet untill your more settled in your job !

๐ฑ #2 ) Singles tend to stay more on track if they want to live a healthy fitness filled lifestyle ! You can go to the gym or fitness facilities as freely as you please and maybe get the occasional date ! As theres no time clock or someone waiting for you to get home !
๐ฑ #3) If your a jet setter and love to travel , then the single life is definitely for you ! You can freely travel the world much more economically as one , before settling down ! I traveled and lived all across Canada several times before I settled down at 25 and had my first son who is now going to be 30 on Sunday ! And my second son will soon be 27 ! Wow how time flies past !

๐ฑ#4) And lets not forget the fact that unless your in an very open relationship , you can come and go as you please ! Eat when you want and what you want , unless for health reasons you cant , go clubing or stay out longer in pubs or with friends , maybe pick up a one night stand as you please for a little companionship ! And dress as you like ! No need to worry about arguements and sleeping on the couch if you get home late !!

And if you can afford it or have the time possibly once a week , you can invite friends over for dinner or go out with friends or on a date for mealtime companionship.

Nice view. The point is, homo sapiens as a specie has a peculiar behavior: it is almost the only specie where the female can RATIONALLY choose the partner. In most of species, once alpha male is defined, he can just have the females.
Plus, the fact some species go in heat makes the females much less "choosy". Homo Sapiens is very peculiar, because the female has an unprecedented rational power in the choice of the mating male.
The fact this is a power (even if sold as a "right") should not be understate: when your sons are saying that they want to keep singles, most of females are feeling a voice saying "this taking away my power: he is saying I cannot choose him, not because he's taken, just because he decided it". This is a classic conflict of power, when you take away power from someone.
This is not such an easy topic: by example, male birth control pills are not having success on the market just because they take power away from women, which then are losing the power to decide "when". The impact on the market is such a strong , those pills never succeeded: when it comes to the very moment to choose, wives are against some birth control which is 100% under the control of husband, and they cannot even see because is a drug (the condom is something they can see and check). They lose 100% of control, then 100% of power. (this is why "feminists", which are fighting for power, are against those "male pills").
So the topic of "who chooses to reproduce , when to reproduce and who is the father" is a matter of power, not to be understated : when a male decides to be a single, the clash of power starts. If this would be the trend with a ton of males being single, society will start a dramatic stress, especially on the women's side.

I really like and agree for the most part on your take of this issue , it certainly explains alot in some situations but i must say not all . Great post @karenmckersie trying to stay free as much as possible as I felt I didn't have that in my childhood, but I do believe that with the right person you can still have this type of lifestyle its just they are very hard to come by, and right now I think I am committed to steem sorry ladies, lol upped, and happy birthday to your son I will be 30 also this year boo.

People are always trying to set him up and ask him when hes getting married , he keeps telling them when hes ready he will do it , lol ! Ive been living in town in my apartment for the past year instead of comuteing from the country where i was living with my boyfriend for 12 years , and i like the sort of freedom i have ! So i mostly did this post for the people who seem to feel sorry for those that are single ! DONT ! Some of choose it ! Steem on !๐๐๐
