On one hand we want our kids to not get towards smart devices but also on the other hand we are not ready to give our time to them.

There I discussed how parents these days have become least bothered about what their kids do. As long as they are quite everything is acceptable.
Well, coming back to the topic let us understand how giving time to kids will help your kids stay away from bad habits.
Kids are full of stamina and they are ready to play with you to your limits. When their stamina is not used correctly they find alternatives like using smart devices.
The day your kid forgets about the stamina he / she hold within will be the day you will face a lot of difficulty in getting them away from bad habits.
So give time to your kids, sit with them and play with them. Be a kid if you want to help them and play like kids even if it is for an hour a day.
Go to the park, buy them different sports item and play with them so that they will ask for it more and more.
Take them out on weekend, let the environment change and that is how they will be benefited in long term.
Just try your best to not leave their minds and time empty because that is when the problem starts. Give them toys and keep them indulged and everything will be fine.
