#LivingElSalvador. Buying Some Freshly Made Tortillas. The El Salvadorian Style.

in #life5 years ago

Tortillas are part of daily morning, lunch and dinner dishes. El Salvadorian people eat tortillas with all their meals and so do we.
I finally learned how to make them perfectly and now with daily practice I am a pro tortilla maker. lol

The only thing is that the tortilla corn flour sold at the stores are not as pure or as healthy as the real, pure grinded corn which is made into masa and which is sold at the tortilla places (usually sold from home or anywhere on the streets) during lunch time.

That is why I like to buy them sometimes, just to eat the real, pure corn tortillas. I also purchase them when I don't really have time to make them.
The awesome thing is that they are sold really cheap, it might be actually cheaper to buy them than to make your own. Plus they are freshly made so they are nice and hot and ready to eat.

Hope you enjoyed the short video of us buying some tortillas while come back from a gym workout.
Have a wonderful day.

I am a great supporter of @familyprotection who is working very hard to help the families stay together and this project is the most amazing project that I would suggest for everyone on this steemit community to check it out and support it and by doing it we are helping people in need who are trying to keep their kids safe from being taken away (kidnapped) by the Social Services. I am also a part of one of the most amazing projects here on steemit and that is @gratefulvibes project where you can also join @gratefulvibes Discord chat group, where we support the newcomers and just have an amazing time.

Thank you for visiting my post. If you like it, please don't forget to Upvote, Follow, and Resteem, it is very, very appreciated. Any suggestions are always very welcome so that I can keep improving in this community.
God Bless!

Very close to your home and a great post-workout snack or meal. In most developing countries, street food is more accessible and cheaper than doing it yourself. Yet, sometimes it's the hygiene or nutrition factors that encourages me to eat in and cook myself. Still love street food!

I totally agree with you on that @travelling-two.
We will not eat in most of the street foods since like you said the hygiene factor, but most of the tortillas places are really clean and safe and most of the pupusa places too but no matter where I eat out I wonder sometimes how and what is in the foods and that is why I also feel the safest eating at home.

Oh I'm sure the tortillas are clean and safe. It's even meat or dairy products come in the equation.... One has to ensure the meat is burnt and/or the dairy products haven't been left out of the fridge to be given the green light LOL

Thanks again for showing a bit of El Salvador 😊
