We have finally started doing our renovations around the house which was really all alone for almost 4 years, so we need to do some repainting and some retouching since the hot weather and the heavy rains can do some damage, like rust on the steel garage doors or window frames and some door frames etc.
I love the colorful houses here in El Salvador and because yellow is my favorite color, we painted our garage doors bright yellow. I love it.
This whole weekend we had some workers paint all of our gates, doors and windows since it needs to be sprayed with oil paint. Right after the workers are done, which is today, it is our turn to paint the house from the front and the back including the garage/our gym/rest area.
The rainy season is finally over, so that is why we have been waiting for a while, since it has been raining a lot and we though we will wait till the rains are over.
Because money is tight right now, we will have to paint the whole house ourselves, which I am actually really excited for it, since I get to do it with my boys and so it is a great bonding time and it feels when we all contribute to the house work and feel grateful and happy for all the work we have done, plus we always learn and get more experience doing things like that.
Our window frames are repainted white. No more rust. lol.
We are pleased with the results so far and now it is our turn to work.
We cleaned and sanded some of the garage walls, getting it ready for painting once the workers are done with their job.
Here is the proof of me getting dusty and working hard. Even my hair is all crazy. lol.
