I do not know the customs of their countries, in Argentina on Fridays they are days of chopped meats, cheeses, pizzas, a good glass of beers or fernet, and as a finishing touch a good Celtic movie with lots of action, swords and shields. Idea of posting the legendary weapons post.

Today I want to share with you the legend of "The Sword of William Wallace", surfing the web I cross with this beautiful legend, speaks of one of the legendary weapons best known throughout history, a beautiful story that begins well.

This legendary fighter was born in "1272" in the city of "Elerslie, Scotland" son of Malcolm Wallace, his name William Wallace, over time his name will be very famous and heard in every corner of the world.

A very studious young man with a brilliant "ecclesiastical career", this allowed him to learn "three languages" among them "Latin", from the "14 years and up to the age of 16" aged alive in "Dunipace" with his brother mother.

William had a peculiarity, with only 16 years old he was a true colossus for the time, "his two meters of height" made him a great titan.

The murder of his father provoked a great unrecognizable beast, abandoned his "ecclesiastical studies" to become a criminal, called a group of "50 youth his age" to form a small army and lead.

To these young men I teach techniques of war, once prepared for the fight he led them to "Loudun Hill" where a strong Englishman was led by an "English knight Fennwick" responsible for the death of his father.

"William Wallace" with his legendary sword and 50 men fought in battle with "200 soldiers of the English army" killing his father's murderer and more than half of the "English soldiers" this was the first battle of "William" and His legendary sword

This battle not only gave "William" and his men fame, but also gave them innumerable "swords, weapons, horses" and a good price for the person who delivered the "outlaw William Wallace"

After this battle, "William" and his men were wanted, they took refuge in the mountains of "Ettrick" from where they made intelligence of war and studied to their enemies, from the mount as base it attacked and it killed all "troops and patrols English "that crossed their paths

Not everything was struggle in the life of "William", also knew love, fell in love with "Marion Braidfute" a beautiful young woman who lived in the city of "Lannark", this news reached the ears of his English governor "sheefiff Hazelrig "Who devised a way to bring" William "to his city and take him captive.

The evil plan resulted in the death of William's brother-in-law, when he entered the death of Marion's brother, the legendary warrior came to the city, entering a bloody battle with the "English soldiers", as he could not with all , Return to the mountain of "Ettrick" to devise a plan of fight.

The governor was frustrated by not being able to take "William", to return to bring to the city in this occasion I kill to "Marion". "William Wallace" in anger took his men and attacked the city, killing everyone but "children, women and religious", this bloody battle was known in every corner of "Scotland", so many Scottish patriots joined the Army of "William Wallace", this was the worst thing that could happen to the "English army"

This legendary warrior participated in numerous and bloody battles that can be named, one of them was the battle of "Irvine in July 1297" the "Stirlig bridge on September 11, 1297" "the capture of Edinburgh Castle" later Was named "Guardian of Scotland" a "title" equivalent to a "king" then participated in the "battle of Falkirk" in the latter was "betrayed" by his own "nobles" falling defeated, after his defeat the title of "Guardian Of Scotland "happened at the hands of" Robert Bruce and John Comyn "

After this defeat he lost all "support of the Scottish nobles", the "King of England" decreed "amnesty" for all those citizens who fought in "Scotland" less "William Wallace" again becoming "outlaw" kingdom.

He was finally invited to "Castle of Carslile" not knowing that it was a betrayal, he was captured and taken to "London" accused of "treason" to the king, "William Wallace" did not know the treason towards the king since never "I swear his loyalty ", For this reason he was sentenced to death.

The legendary warrior suffered long before his death, cut off his testicles, "opened the belly, pulled out the intestines," was decapitated "his head was placed on the London Bridge", "his hands and feet" were distributed to "four points of "England" the rest of the body was buried in the locality of "Alberdeen"

After the death of the legendary warrior, the independence of Scotland was obtained from the hands of "Robert" the bruce "becoming the" King Robert I of Scotland "

That's how "William Wallace" became a hero for millions of Scots, a giant man of body and heart, his legendary sword could only be used with two hands, for its measures of "66 inches long" with a blade Of "52 inches" forged in "Scotland".

Many thanks to you @ screenname and your entire team for trusting and supporting my work

Wonderful story of Wallace. And quite a sword. Can't imagine wielding one of those things in a field full of other people doing the same thing. What mayhem it must have been. Glad I missed all that. Thanks for sharing another great sword story. Have a nice weekend as well.

If you are right, I think the same, what would have been, to have to fight every day and do not know if you come alive at night.
Of this time little changed my friend @ddschteinn, abuses and abuses continue to people, the only difference is now diplomatically.
Thank you very much for this nice visit
