Hello dear friends, thank you very much for supporting my work, surfing the web I cross with this beautiful Hindu legend, speaks of the magical grain of rice of that time and the benefits that farmers had, everything went very well until the Hindu god gave a punishment.

This is an adaptation of a legend of India, count the Hindu most anxious, that thousands of years ago the rice was not as we know them, they were giant grains, their planting and their crops were fundamental for the existences of Hindus , Because of their giant sizes of people could eat, people would satisfy their appetite entirely because with a few grains were enough to satisfy hunger.

The plantations of the Hindus were on the slopes of the mountains, this gave a great advantage to the farmers of the land, when ripening the rice they did not have the need to harvest them because of their great weight and size they fell alone of the stems and rolaban Mountain down to the silo of the farmers, the astute workers strategically built their silos to roll directly into the silo.

This year everything was going on rails, it was a great year, to continue like this would be a very good harvest of rice, the plants began to leave, every day they grew by leaps and bounds, the rice grains were more giant, this was a great joy , But also a great concern, this amount of rice would not enter their silos, dependencies were small for large amount of crop, if they could not accommodate all the cereals, some of the rice was to melt, the only solution was to enlarge the silos .

With the time that they were hurrying them, they immediately began to build the enlargements of the granaries, all the inhabitants of the town even the children helped the construction, working the 24 hours of the day to finish the extensions in time, although they worked without Stop did not have time to build before you dropped rice grains.

One morning the first grains began to fall from the plants and roll to their barns that were half finished, an old woman who repairs the barn door saw a large grain of rice coming in, very angry came forward a little and received the grain of Rice with a crushing foot.

Very angry she cursed at the grain of rice. Do not you see that the barn is not ready, they could not stay one more time in their plants?

Why did they have to be made bigger? If only they were smaller, we would not have worked so hard to rebuild the granaries. Said the old woman shouting at the four winds, cursing the huge grains of rice, those who had kept them from hunger all their lives.

The Hindu God, watching and listening to the insults of the old lady, complaining about her good fortune, being an ungrateful sent a great punishment, from that day the rice grains became very small as we know them now, no longer grew in the mountains , They had to adapt the sowings in the plains with abundant quantities of water, the farmers were forced to work very hard to raise the crops of the small grains of rice.
