positive and/or negative

The side effects of growing up can be both positive and negative. I feel like we have to decide the outcomes ourselves because if you make something negative, it will stay negative, but if you think of something negative in a positive way - you have succeeded in being positive! Here are my thoughts on growing up and how to think about it.

how to think, not what to think

I was recently browsing through Tumblr and found this quote, "teach your children how to think, not what to think", and I found it really fascinating. Of course, you can't teach a child to figure out his or her political views or what he or she wants to do with their life, but you shouldn't decide for them either. There are laws, which every person has to follow, but there isn't any law about making people think in a certain way because of social pressure.

Look at the picture above, it seems to you like there's only one way to go, right? Well, if you would turn around you would see 3 other ways to go. Sometimes you can't see other ways of moving ahead rather than the one right in front of you. But there are other ways, you just have to look for them and see for yourself. That's the way I go about living right now - take a step back, look around you and make a decision after that.

take risks!

I mentioned this in an earlier post named Do What You Can't, which is another way I'm used to living right now. There are a lot of risks you can take in your life and if you have even some kind of analytical thinking - you can and you will push through! All you need is motivation and once you have that motivation to push through, you will conquer the world.

the world outside is scary, but I bet you have seen enough horror films

Do not let the horror take over you as you search your way in the world because life is scary and probably will get even scarier. That doesn't mean you should give in to that and not fight back! If you wish to be successful in life then there's nothing stopping you - do your thing and make the people, who doubt you see that you're worth so much more.
