This kid from the Philippines got interviewed by Vice on Conspiracies
First off, the situation was not standard... I was at a Flat Earth Conference.
I was attending the event as Media, recording some of the most stigmatized conspiracy theorists to exist. As one of the sessions rolled on, Mack (The guy who writes for Vice) happened to wander over to the table I was at in the back of the hall. I was charging my camera.
He asked me what the craziest conspiracy theory I ever heard was, and why I didn’t believe it. Funny feature angle, since we where at a “Flat Earth Conference” (FE2018 in Edmonton, Canada)
I mentioned the Mandela Effect, which is basically false memory syndrome. People misremembering details of the past and claiming alterations some how tied to CERN. Heh. Turns out he was the one who wrote the Article that was partially to blame for the theory exploding into the web.
The last night of the conference I ended up hanging out with the guy for several hours with a group of Flat Earth believers, as he was writing a further piece I’m curious to see published, something about, “Do Flat Earthers Have Fun.” He reminisced about dead Canadian Pop stars, and I think... had a good time.
