My first reaction was: I knew it They were among us!
Ok. Obviously, It's hard to believe what you're saying, and by the way, What book? You didn't leave any link 
I am in favor of believing that earthlings are extraterrestrials or we were left on Earth by them because we are the only species that damage their environment forever, that extinguishes creatures, that damages its own species for reasons far from surviving or defending itself. No other species want to destroy the world where it exists.
And relax man! I never reject any theory, I only examine them, assimilate them, adapt them and accept them once they have been checked.
So, aliens incarnate as earthlings and are persuading in various ways.
That would prove my theory that the accelerated increase in technology in the last 70 years has to be a product of extraterrestrial or time traveler influence.
God is an alien.
God isn't even from this dimension so I wouldn't classify him/her (Yes, she could be her) as an alien. God is adimensional, omnipresent and timeless and I fall short of all the other adjectives that characterize an all-powerful entity.
I love to hear about new theories!

I think that the true God should be too.
I think that the creation of the universe and the solar system of this dimension is the existence of omniscience without body.
