A Premature Eulogy for Joe-6pack

Caregiver Job

I got a job as a "caregiver" on November 8. I immediately was placed with Bert, a 73-year-old retired United Van Lines Truck Driver, who has had lung cancer and now has kidney cancer. He lives with his son, Alberto Jr. and daughter-in-law, Tina, in Thornton, CO. They have 6 dogs: 5 chihuahaus and one boxer mix...

Brewty-Boy

Brewster is Bert's dog. Bert's wife died 2 years ago, and Brewster was also her dog. Brewster is very protective of Bert. Bert is of Mexican decent, many generations of family in Colorado. His family is from Alamosa, CO. What happens to the dog after the owner dies? I think my dog ended up at the Dumb Friends League because her human died. I can't think of another reason why. She's such a great dog. How traumatic that must be for her. Does she remember her other life? Does she understand why she went to doggie jail after her human disappeared? How sad and thoughtless we humans are. Ugh.

Patty, The Truckstop Waitress, 1969

Bert met his wife, Patty, of 46 years, on his United Van Lines route when she waitressed in a Truckstop.

Humility

Bert was my very first client. I had had 8 hours of online training and 3 hours of f2f training. I was told I would have to wash his back and feet while he was in the shower. I was terrified of this - and had insomnia the night before worrying about it.

When I first arrived at Bert's house, I told him this was my very first day ever! He rolled his eyes, but he was great as a trainer. As it turned out, Bert is very modest and so when it came to washing his back and feet in the shower - there was no problem - it was merely me helping him - in a very humbling way. It was a priviledge, actually, to be able to be helpful in this manner.

I remembered, I had been asking God for a job in which I could be of genuine service to God rather than selling slave-made products to assholes who treated me like trash ... so this actually was confirmation for me that this IS the job...however badly it pays, however horrible the company I work for is - all that - I am still able to be of maximum service to God doing this job - which is what I asked for...

Sigils

I had been painting sigils about it for 6 months while on unemployment. Here is one post about it, and another sigil I made for myself as well. I just have a more romantic and Hollywood idea of what God is going to bring me than what He actually brings me. I think it should be color-coordinated, not messy.

This is the job I asked God for. I know how to talk to the spirit and get it ready for death. I have no fear of death. I know how to be kind. A friend. I am a healer, but not the kind that plans on getting licensed.

Medicaid

Bert is a Medicaid client, so I am not allowed to just be his "company" - I must be doing something at every minute while I am there. Bert, Bert Jr., and Tina decided that that is bullshit. We discussed it, and when I had cleaned the bathroom, mopped kitchen and living room floors, done the breakfast dishes, changed linens, and done laundry for the day, I would sit on the couch with Bert and watch the court shows and Ellen...

ellen.jpg
Ellen the Degenerate...

I had an ipod with 1 ear listening to Mark Passio so I would not have to go insane watching TV all day. I don't have TV at home anymore. The Mnemonic circles, solipsistic, moral-relative programming, & neofeminism agenda is more than I can stand. The satanic programming of the the audience who just comes there to get free gifts - that's why Bert likes to watch Ellen - cuz she "gives so much away" - he would say.

Noon

Bert got a medication reminder at noon, an iron pill and a memory-enhancing pill...

and he would come into kitchen and choose what GMO-laden food he was going to microwave for lunch. One day, I mentioned that microwaves remove the nutrition from food. He said, "Oh, I didn't know that." We went a few days heating stuff up on the stove and then he went back to microwaving...it's too late for Bert Sr.

Bad Habits

Bert also chews tobacco and has a sweet-tooth. Bert lost several teeth on the bottom - maybe due to chew? Bert gave up drinking when Patty, held the pistol he bought her to his head, and told him -

"if you don't quit drinking, I am going to blow your brains out". Bert quit drinking, he says, at that time. But his brother died from drinking and his son has a head-injury from drinking on the job. Bert has a huge beer gut.

Bert is a good guy - but he is a typical Joe-6pack Dude, and this is how they end up I guess. Broncos and Harley Davidson Everything.

Medicaid Caregivers

Bert told me stories about other caregivers he had had over the years. Angelina, his one caregiver, told him all about her abusive husband who beat the crap out of her every night and how she would come over after work and bring a 24-pack of Budweiser and drink after her shift. One day Angel just did not show up again. He still worries about her.

He told me about Juanita who told him she would marry him if he wasn't "so sick". He told me about caregivers who showed up drunk and came and stole his Glade airfreshener out of the bathroom for themselves, telling him it was poison - didn't he know? - I learned from him what not to do. I did not tell Bert much about myself. But I also recognize the fact that we have a big impact on these people and we have to be careful with them.

Words of Wisdom

Bert told me that he named his son Alberto K. instead of Alberto A.. because Patty told him - if our son gets in trouble with the law, you don't want him to have the same middle initial as you. Good thinking Patty! And so it was - Bert Jr. would have some run-ins with credit card fraud and jail-time in his life...and Bert Sr was unaffected...

New Friends?

Alberto Jr., and Tina really liked me because I am tattooed and used to ride a motorcycle back in the day, so they made sure I only worked for Bert. Bert Jr., turned me on to the Blue Rose Tattoo Shop which has a Tattoo School - I am going to check out getting an apprenticeship after the Holidays...other apprenticeships in Denver have been less than on the up-and-up.

Next Generation

Bert's grandson, John is 13 and already on probation. He's the scapegoat and he's already in trouble. Bert said that John steals money and the first day I was there, he thought John had stolen his crappy flip-phone. I feel sorry for John, but he is a little bad-ass - but he just needs to be "raised". His mom, Theresa, daughter of Alberto Jr and Tina, is not a good mom - she's obese, drives a schoolbus - and is newly remarried to a seemingly nice guy. John's dad is in prison for rape. I think that John reminds Bert of how he was when he was 13. Bert told me, right out of the gate that he went out drinking when he was 13 and got into trouble where he was part of a gang of kids, one of which had a gun, and one kid got shot. He went to prison in Buena Vista, CO for a year. When Bert told me that story,
I said, "When yer drinking you did not always get into trouble, but when you get in trouble, you always had been drinking... ". "Yea", Bert nodded, in recognition.

Tuesday

The other day as Bert was starting to deteriorate, he could not find the $257 he had in cash. He looked and looked. John was over that day, in the spare bedroom and Bert was worrying that John had stolen his money. I did the wash and all $257 in cash showed up in the dryer. I had a chance to prove myself as trustworthy by bringing it all to him - and then John was off the hook - but Bert accused him of smoking before John left with his step dad. I felt bad for John. I had walked by the spare room earlier and saw John jerking off to some picture on his phone but he wasn't smoking - just jerking off.

Wednesday

Bert took a 360 degree turn for the worse. I don't know what exactly happened - he pissed some real red blood, not just the rusty blood he had been pissing...and he started to talk incoherently. I texted Alberto Jr. I didn't call my office, cuz they would have reassigned me which would have forced Alberto Jr and Tina to put Bert into Hospice.

Thursday

Bert was really bad. I had to call Alberto Jr., 3 times to get him to tell his dad that he is at home. Bert kept saying - "I am going to get in my car and drive home. I don't live here and I don't know who you are." I know the agency would not want me there responsible for him in that condition.
blucifer.jpg
Alberto Jr and Tina work at Denver International Airport as maintenance crew. I don't know how they do it. They left early on Thursday and came home to be with Bert and I. It was heartwarming to see Bert Jr on the couch covered with dogs - all 6 dogs on his lap, while he watched his father dying, in his chair, eyes closed mumbling. At one point we thought Bert Sr. had crapped himself and we had to walker- him into the bedroom and check. Bert Jr and I, and Bert Jr stepped up to the plate - wiped his father's butt with a towelette. I knew it was hard on him - but I would not have had the strength to roll Bert Sr. onto the bed, myself.

I really like these people. They are taking care of their dad, at home, the best they can. They are ignore-ant, but they are gun-owners and bikers, so they have a certain reverence for freedom, even though they are buying the lies. They are not the flesh-robots that a LOT of people are around here.

Today

I texted Tina today, to see how things are going. She said it's just a matter of time- they had the Hospice bed coming to the house - not sure what that means but it is unlikely I will be going there next week for my shift.

Eugenics

These people are the living proof of the Eugenics Agenda. And they don't know it. They eat GMO food. Likely they are paying off student-loan debt and several motorcycles which leads them to believe incorrectly that they can't afford organics...they buy the false flags as real - but still believe in gun ownership thank God. They work at the devilish airport and don't believe the stories about it because they need the paycheck. They believe in doctors and have their own perscriptions. They struggle with their own unanswerable problems and put on a good face on Facebook.

I laughed, I cried, I agree with everything you said and I commend you for asking for and accepting that job. You did make a positive impact on those people's lives. They will not forget the things you said.

thank you @choosefreedom - that's a wonderful comment to read. I appreciate it. I really am sitting here mourning Bert right now, not sure if I will see my new friends again and realizing that this is a heavy job I have here, but it is better than retail - cuz I get to be myself.

very interesting your post, I congratulate you brother

thanks - I'm your sister.
