My mom's walking stick

Living near the coast does have its' perks, one doesn't need to go to the fish market but just wait for the fish vendors to come around. We can hear them even before we see them  with their container balanced in their heads.

As I was paying this old lady, my brother came and offered to replace her walking stick with the one he made just like my mom's. You can see in her face the gratefulnes she was giving my brother  and very thankful, she let me take her old one. 

Just a few years younger than my mom, she is refusing to stop selling fish as she considered it her exercise. 

Fair enough I guess! So long as she doesn't  tire much.

I set aside her stick among my mom's plants as I didn't want to throw it away. Arranging it nicely, I thought it's gonna stay there till another storm will blow it away. 

Or so I thought!

Less than 10 minutes later, I was running to get it as my mom was walking without her stick! She have forgotten where she've left hers. 

It's good to know my mom isn't relying on her stick to move around. But then, she have been refusing to use a walking stick since her TIA in 2015. She needs it as she's weaker, she's almost 90.
