Elon Musk’s A.I. Destroys Champion Gamer!
An AI bot has beaten a professional human player at Dota 2! This is another historic moment in the progress of artificial intelligence. The bot took only 2 weeks from being introduced to the game to being the best player there ever was! It has also created new philosophies and strategies never before seen or dreamt of by the top exponents of Dota 2.
The same happened with AlphaGo, which is a computer program that plays the board game Go. It was developed by Alphabet Inc.'s Google DeepMind in London in October 2015. It too can beat it's human counterparts and has again introduced new strategies never contemplated before!
So AI may be coming of age! - it may offer us fresh thinking and problem solving abilities in so many areas. Intelligent driving, flying and other automated transportation systems, even medical care and diagnosis... but if you remember Dr. Perceptron from Futurama you will be well aware of the dangers of giving so much power to robots - but these are just some to the challenges we must face and overcome with the inevitable integration of technology into our daily lives.
